Cool, I like both bands. I just hope they're careful about integrating the songs into the game if that's what they're doing. If they continue to announce new bands and exclusive songs I might look into the ultimate edition, even though it's ridiculously expensive.
Nice, I'm sure they would do a good job. I don't understand how any one could complain. I mean, imagine if it had a rap soundtrack that would spoil the mood. And if you really need to play a gangsta Kratos, just use the stereo that you use to play in your headset during COD.

It's an instrumental track, and knowing Dream Thearter it will be over the top and ridiculous, so it will probably fit the game. Dosn't really add anything to it though. Adding a metal instrumental to your soundtrack, that's an original idea.

DT arn't that well know, and they are an aquired taste. I think they can be quite good, but often miss the mark losing all sense of subtlety in place of show off solos, which get tedious very quickly, espically when there's atleast one in every song.

yes some few songs can get tedious to no solo-lovers unlike me. but nevertheless DT have written many awesome musically songs (am not speaking for technique here at all but for composotion and emotions). each album has at least 3 songs that are epic. do you find stream of consiousness tiring (if you know this song), i do not despite the fact it has alot of solos. anyway this thread is for Dt about GoW and now on DT
I also have not heard of this Dream Theater band before... I spend way too much time playing games to really listen to that different much music =X I have been highly anticipating this game for quite a while in anycase.

I think this is just part of the CD that comes with the special edition GOW3 package. If you look up the package, there is a CD included that says, "Heavy Metal Inspired GOW3 Soundtrack"... I dont think this will be in the game.
Its funny how DT fanboys are praising this but yet when a rapper like 50 cent is announced in MW2 they bash it to no end :roll: rock + greek mythology = FAIL IMO The orchestral soundtrak of the 1st two were awesome idk why the devs had to go down this route, it makes the game seem like a cheesy brutal legend knock off.
I played the GoW demo and it's freaking insane. The music, atmosphere, sound, everything is just epic. I loved it.
is it available on PSN, or do i need to buy something to get it? GOW Collection comes out next week.... I think the GOW3 demo comes with it. oh, good deal...i never played the 2nd one.

Never heard of them, and OMG. First Leona Lewis for FF and now this guys for GOW? This is even worst than Leona lewis for FF13. It will ruin the greek mythology feeling completely. The orchestral music of GOW is epic and fits perfectly, the demo was perfect. There was no need for this. **** that, man, hearing heavy metal or whatever this is in GOW will suck. Even if the songs are great ( being heavy metal i doubt ), they wont fit. GOW is one of the few games that use acient greek mythology, and thas great, i love the vibe of the game, why ruin it with modern day crap? Everything else in the game seems perfect.
