that thing is amazing. clutch and manual shift?
Might be well worth the money.
And haters, be reasonable: this will not be the only wheel (or the only Logitech wheel) made available for this game. Get a hold of yourselves.

um yeah.. because logitech always releases multiple skus for console games, lmao.. are you mad? this could very well be the only wheel controller that's made between now and GT5 launch. there might be a sony one, doubt it though - hasn't been their thing in the past, and it's not like the PS3 is selling well enough to justify numerous different wheels.
maybe you're right, but i have a very very very sneaking suspicion that you're totally wrong.

I'd pay $350 for it.
Looks so freaken sick :)

and then there is still the DFP for a little over $100 :|
The price of the wheel does not equal the price of the game, ignoramus.
Polyphony is just EXTREMELY particular about the realism provided by their wheels...they've said it again, and again, and again. I guarantee you that this wheel is better than the Forza wheel. They're perfectionists. Do they have to justify what they do? Do you have to buy the wheel?
Here's the real question: Do you have any alternatives? I would guess. There are going to be third party wheels just like every Playstation platform that work with every GT game since the inception of the franchise.

All 3 of these logitech wheels work on the PS3 also.(Well, about to be 4 wheels now) How much you are willing to spend on a wheel is up to you. Not like that new wheel is the only one.
It is even more funny that some anti-sony people are actually trying to use the new wheel as ownage. You guys obviously don't think too much or just plainly aren't too smart.
And by the way, those are pretty much MSRP prices, you can get the wheels cheaper from actual stores or online retailers.
Personally I think that wheel is pretty hot. Couldn't see myself spending that much for a console wheel, but if it can also be used on PCs I can see more then a few selling, especially to the hardcore sim fans. Of course I can't see hardcore sim fans buying that for GT5 when there's better PC sims out there, but that's a different topic altogether.

Logitech wheels can be used on the PC too, you just have to download a little program from them first. I know a one person that use the G25 on his PC, PS2, and PS3.
that still isnt that much... u get the wheel becasue u love driving games so much that u want it to be as close to the real thing as possible. A good arguement is they arent forcing it on u. I have some race buds of mine who have their whole tv room set up for racing such as their controller is this wooden frame in the shape of a F1 car and a really high end stearing wheel. If u are that hardcore of a racer/gamer then this isnt anything compared to how u can really go.
I for one will not be getting this becasue a controller is good enough for me.

In that case I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Too bad my wife would kill me if I came home with one. She still won't let me live down the fact I bought Steel Battalion because it had the best controller I'd ever seen. It's funny because lemmings didn't even read the article, they just jumped on it cause it was anti-PS3 news.
Anyways, had you read it, it comes with not only the wheel, but the gas pedal/brake pedal but also a clutch pedal and a manual shifter! Not only that, the wheel has real leather on it. It shouldn't be compared with just a damn force-feedback steering wheel, it's for the enthusiast.
Nice try though. You didn't fool everyone here.

330$US

i cannot believe this. i got my 360 wheel with force feedback + game for about 100$CDN.
i understand it has a gear shift... but omg, i can deal with wheel shifting any day considering that's what most professional drivers use. seriously... an extra gear shift and it costs nearly the price of a 40gig PS3 without the game?

That wheel has been out for a long time. Not sure why they think it's the "GT5" wheel outside of the fact that the devs promised support for it like a year ago.
You can't use it on the 360 even though it's USB because MS is a bunch of idiots. If they patched in support for this wheel I would get it in a heartbeat, and then go out and buy about 4 360 racing games. I have almost no interest in the MS "official" wheel.
[QUOTE="M0rph0_o"]how much was the halo3 collectors ed? 150?
ill just say like the lemmings do " its a choice, thier not forcing you to buy it"

nice try, lol.
this is bs. this makes wheel controllers on the PS3 some elitist BS. who the hell can afford a 330$ controller --- esp considering it doesn't come with the game.
Someone who wants "the best wheel EVAR" that they can also use on their PC if they want.
It really isa freakin' sweet wheel. It makes all other racing wheels look like a fisher price toy.
Hello shock factor.
#1 The Logitech G25 has been out just a little bit after Gran Turismo 4 was announced.
#2 This Logitech GT25 doesn't have ANY significant improvements over the current G25.
#3 This is the best "Bang for Buck" wheel on the market as it can be used between PC racing games and PS3 games (It COULD work with the 360, but MS refuses to give us 360 owners support for it)
And Lastly, this wheel does NOT need to be purchased to enjoy GT5, just as I enjoy Forza 2 with the regular controller as I refuse to purchase the POS wheel that MS has crapped all over it's consumers with.
Xbox owners act like we've never had an expensive controller before. Built for ONE game no less and NOT compatible with PC.
Seriously, fanboys on all sides just need to shut it.
WOW I'll get that on it's first day, I mean come on it's only $330 for the wheel and another $60 for the game,I mean it's only $390 total it's not like you could almost buy a Xbox 360, PS3 40gigor a Wii with The LOZ:TP, MP3 and Zach and Wiki , Great bang for ya buck there Sony.

?
a bloody cd for 150? you mad. Also, you can get the cheaper steering wheel for GT5 for around $200. So whos getting ripped off now?
The Logitech G25 has been out for over a year. It costs $250 now. It is a PC wheel that works on the PS3. It is in no way an official GT5 wheel. The last official GT wheel is the Logitech Driving Force Pro that sells for around $100. The G25 and DFP are both better than any console wheel out there.Gar529

i'm not a fanboy. i allready bought my PS3 for 599 EURO!!.
i'll probably buy GT5, but not the wheel. it's simply too expensive. and the game.. well 10 bucks difference, it's 70 dollars, cause i pay 60 euro...
and yes, fanboys miss out.
Halo 3 Costs $130....
You don't have to buy the controller...but for $330 its probably the best controller ever made.
Xbox 360 20GB HDD costs $100...so
and w/ the declining value of the USD...i wouldn't be surprised if it was $400
-D3MO-
Really cause I bought it for $59.99 canadian on sale for $10 less
