OMFG - PS3 GT5 wheel costs how much????

No one said you have to use this wheel, you have 3 great Logitech wheels which is PS3 supporting and all three will be supported by the game, the Logitech G26 Racing Wheel, Driving Force Pro and Driving Force EX.

I think im going to buy the Driving Firce EX which is really cheap and It was said in almost all reviews that the 900° function won't make you faster it just changes the feeling, so im going for the cheap one, it's a very good wheel for this price.

Seriously...people find any reason to bash Sony. This wheel is from logitech so if no one buys it, Sony doesnt lose a dime. they're still doing the recall but they recently announced (based on retrofitting they've done) that the problem was extremely rare, apparently only a fraction of what the allowable defect rate is for electronics - it was merely a legal precaution. they're in full stock in many stores now.

It really isa freakin' sweet wheel. It makes all other racing wheels look like a fisher price toy.

it's definitely sweet, don't get me wrong. this was never intended to be a bashing thread, just an OMFG thread. too many defensive cows turned this in to an attack on the PS3 for some reason. i guess they're a bit uppity.

I lost interest as soon as the guy at Fry's told me they sent all of their's back to MS due to a recall. It was the 6th store we went to. I walked into the "wheel" section near the PC's before talking to him to see if maybe they put it in the wrong area and I saw the G25 there for $300. Before that I had thought it was a lot more, so seeing it for $300 put it on my list. Sadly no support for it on 360 :(

But there are cheaper variations out there for 80$+ so stop complaining. Watch this wheel be announced for X360 and see all the lemmings talk about how awesome and great it is.

I understand it's a choice and whatnot, but racing games completely suck without a wheel. I guess GT5, one of the system sellers, has gone down the drain now.

Like I said before I've got one of these wheels at home which my bro bought for the pc and all I can say when using this thing is WOW! Its unlike any racing wheel you've used and it makes every other wheel look and feel like a piece of crap toy.

Its got genuine leather which gives it that "new car" smell and there is no way I'll go back to using a piece of Sh*t steering wheel like the one Microsoft forces everybody to buy. The dual motors means there is incredible force feedback support so you feel every bump in the road. Lets not forget the actual clutch and manual six speed shifter. Works a charm. If you're hardcore into racing games then its totally worth it. Otherwise stick to your gamepad or even your keyboard lol.
