Also, this thread reeks of fanboyism anyway considering that this website is the only one on which the PS3 does not have a AAAE. It's pretty well accepted that the PS3 has a very respectable library of great games at this point.

Any one else here think its rediculous to call the UE3 old? Bioshock still looks fantastic to this day, so does Gears of War.. Why in the hell would people demand a better engine when the one before us looks fanastic to begin with?

Have you seen gameplay footage of MGS4? The only game that has to prove itself is GEOW2 nonone is doubting that MGS4 will be one hell of a game epecially considering all the development time that Konami is putting into this game to make sure its perfect. The same can't be said about GEOW if it makes it out this year. I hope it does come out this year, but I don't want Epic to rush it.

I wasn't trying to belittle GEOW I've beaten that game on two different difficult settings played co-op and multiplayer and know the game was great. I rated the game a 9 so I'm not hating on GEOW2 at all. I hope it comes out this year, because the way the PS3 lineup is looking I won't be playing my 360 until NG2 comes out.

actually you were.....you were using the fact that resistance is ps3's biggest game as a reason why its just as big as gears, when gears has sold, and scored much higher, worldwide.

Off topic, Why is it that it's easier to get an injury report from Belicheck, then it is to get a concrete release date from Sony? I couldn't even tell you what year the actual GT5, and FFXIII are coming out.

this gen has changed from the last in a big way, people are buying way more games, you only have to look at the 360 top sellers for its user base, even the ps3's... 2 mil on a system with 10 mil sold? that would have never happened on the ps2.

the only exception is halo 2, and i think thats how the market has shifted, the ps3 and 360 are very similar and going for the same market, a market which buys way more games

Heres what some people don't seem to understand when comparing game sells and userbase. The ps2 sold over 120 million consoles but probably about 70% were casuals thats why a game like MGS doesn't sell proportionate to the userbase. Does anyone really think that if the 360 hypothetically sold over 120 million units that GEOW would have have sold 45 million copies? Because thats what it would have to sell to equal the percent its sold on the 360s current userbase.
