CSS with a new user interface, Counter Striker Global Offensive.
People say Activision is bad with their milking of CoD, atleast they had changes which each iteration.

CSS- 2004
CSGO-2012
Activision releases a new COD game yearly. Its been 8 years since CSS released. In regards to the changes..... Its Counter Strike. A large portion of the community is being very vocal because of how much the game changed with CSGO, many think it has changed too much.
[QUOTE="parkurtommo"]Yes, but Valve is pretty much godlike to hermits and can do no wrong because they created Steam. True. Honestly though, it's a cheap game with low production value... I don't think anyone expected a full fledged CS.And Activision (Call of Duty), Ubisoft (Assasin's Creed), etc.

It's far more than that. It was a core gameplay change that was built to accommodate fans and put CS on the console. That's why it was only $15. They never said it was supposed to be anything more.
I haven't played it too much, but from what I have I can safely say that it's nothing like CS 1.6 or CSS from a gameplay feel standpoint.
This is so stupid I feel embarrassed for youCSS with a new user interface, Counter Striker Global Offensive.

It's true, only Valve could get away with this. I demand they make a yearly release of counter strike plus hundreds of dollars on DLC.
Damn you Valve for releasing counter strike once every gen!
It's a $15 game with new maps and modes, new weapons, completely change the gunplay, a MUCH better UI, good mod support, dedicated servers, ranked and unranked matches, matchmaking, and tools for competitive players. All the CS veterans in-game love the new gunplay. It's well worth the price for a sequel to a game MADE IN 2004.

Angelic? :| Get over yourself. CS GO is 15$, no DLC, the only installment in the series since 2004. Now shut your dirty whore mouth. :xWell of course, if its CoD its bad but anything else is angelic.

So the reception's been pretty positive? That's good to hear. I know there are always the people who scorn anything after 1.6... or even scorn 1.6 as opposed to 1.5...It's a $15 game with new maps and modes, new weapons, completely change the gunplay, a MUCH better UI, good mod support, dedicated servers, ranked and unranked matches, matchmaking, and tools for competitive players. Please, at least we get a game that actually takes skills, it is cheap ($15) and if Valve releases DLC it will be free. Meanwhile, COD continues to be $60, you have to pay $15 for DLC and the game doesn't take skills. An idiot can even be the top player on any match.Well of course, if its CoD its bad but anything else is angelic.

You dont have to buy the DLC its optional and if you wait you can get the DLC for $7 or less ( they always do sales for their DLC but couple of months after their release ).. as for the game it deserve being $60 because CoD on the disk offers not only online multiplayer ( online mode has over 20 modes ), Spec Ops, Singple Player and zombies not counting theater mode, training mode and so on. cant be serious for wanting all this for $15.
CoD deserve being $60 every year btu again no one forcing anyone to buy it but hey if its CoD its bad and evil :)
For $15 I get not only the classic mode but also 2 new gamemodes plus a casual classic mode but that's not all, we also get zombie mod, zombie escape, surf mod and many other mods. And just for $15. all that in the new counter strike? very nice.. i bought the new counter strike tho for $12 from PSN but havent downloaded it yet due to the internet bandwidth -_-
i hear its just 5 VS 5 tho unlike CoD where u can go beyond that number so just sayin :P.. cant compare this $15 to to a $60 since CoD offers so much more for that $60

5v5 is a console limitation, there´s plenty of servers already on the PC with over 30 players.[QUOTE="finalstar2007"][QUOTE="Miroku32"] For $15 I get not only the classic mode but also 2 new gamemodes plus a casual classic mode but that's not all, we also get zombie mod, zombie escape, surf mod and many other mods. You mean console hardware, can't even handle more than 10 players with the source engine (it runs on source right?), probably the easiest engine to run ever. :|The difference is that Activision, Ubisoft, EA, Nintendo etc. release clones at the price of a full game. Valve releases a "map pack" at the price of a map pack.CSS with a new user interface, Counter Striker Global Offensive.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive features updated graphics, new weapons, new maps, new modes, and only costs $15. The last Counter-Strike game released in 2004, since then eight Call of Duty titles each with a price of $60 + downloadable content, Counter-Strike will have free downloadable content like Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike Source etc., and one Call of Duty title launching this fall for a total of nine Call of Duty games.
