The Wii is a solid system, and having Oprah endorse Kinect was a good move.
It just sucks that it'll popularize Kinect as a peripheral and help it's sales -- which i'm not averse to, should the peripheral turn out to be worthwhile (which is looking unlikely).

Yeah yeah we get it. Kinect is crap. However gaming is not dead.

The thing is ... not everyone here actually gets it.

Only two people like the damn thing >_>Everyone else either hates it or don't care for it. I'm just tired of all these Kinect threads and how gaming is dying, failing, ect.
Agreed. These arguments are very annoying.Jeez, I wish people would stop crying about this. Gaming isn't dead. There is just another piece of hardware out there for you not to buy. It isn't all about you.

[QUOTE="heretrix"]Agreed. These arguments are very annoying. who's arguing? man wake the **** up, how can we just let these companies sell us out like this, seriously. im prolly responsible for 30% of Nintendo's profits from 1988-1994Jeez, I wish people would stop crying about this. b-b-b-but Nintendo was supposed to kill the gaming industry, not extend its absolute brilliance to the lesser gaming companies :( The Wii is a fad and motion gaming will die out soon :( Sony would never copy Nintendo in motion gaming, right :( And people moved to lesser consoles to keep themselves entirely away from motion gaming to not be embarrassed amirite? Because Wii owners get the last laugh. Ha. HA. HAAAA!wiifan001Move tech was in development by Sony well before the Wii came out dude. get yer facts straight.

yeah, but i wonder how sony would play their games if they released it before the wii... You know because the move didnt have a nunchuck, it was just an eyetoy with a glowball stick controller.
I think thats the main issue here, they still copied the wiimote, without it you wouldnt be able to move your character.. and that probably why sony released the eyetoy alone, without the move controller, they didnt think it could be used in real gaming.
One look at any cereal aisle should tell you there is always room for growth in any market without alienating your original demographic. I still eat, love and buy plain corn flakes.
Gamers are the only group of consumers that look at more options as a bad thing. Fools.

that would be ps move... move will be most remembered as a knock off/copy. not kinect... kinect is something newMove tech was in development by Sony well before the Wii came out dude. get yer facts straight. gaming isn't dead but it is slowy dying. And i do agree with with Kinect + Oprah is a good move.Jeez, I wish people would stop crying about this. Gaming isn't dead. There is just another piece of hardware out there for you not to buy. It isn't all about you.

I dont get why there are so many threads bashing Move and Kinect i kinda annoys me let the casuals have some games it's not all about you
Gaming isn't dead, its just moving away from where it should go. People are focusing to musch on the systems, less on the games. Kinectic will never be well aplied in to a pratical (practical, as in good)game, and thats as far as we should care. I have stuck with Nintendo, because of the games. The only thing i care about on a system is that each generation is better than the last, that it has good online, and that you can see something on the screen.:D
O also, any one who wants to startattacking me for being a Nintendogamer Know this: Anyone who says The gamesfor Nintendo are not good enoughto justify the system has never played a game on the systmes, and has therefore never had a childhood.
If Kinect flops, at least you can't say MS didn't try. I could care less about it, but MS is hitting all the main venues to entice the casual market. A good word by Oprah can make or break an author with her book club thing. Don't think that her giving Kinect some good publicity can't do the same thing.
its not like any one that owns a gaming system watches oprahelbert_b_23But their kids do. You seriously think all of the Oprah viewers (the unknown millions of them) would want a 360 for themselves? Hell no... the free gift are going to be given as gifts for the holidays, and the viewers that werent at the show, just got an idea of what to get little timmy for the holidays as well. You are clearly to young to understand what Oprah does for the average soccer mom. Whatever gets endorsed on her show sells in the 10s of millions.
Instead of complaining you could just not buy it and play multiplats until they take off focus on it to work on real games.
