Are you kidding me? You don't think reviewers played the bejeezus out of CS:Source and other HL2 online mods before they scored it? HL2 is simply not that good of a game. There are far better FPS out there. Far Cry was superb compared to a lackluster HL2, FEAR blew the pants off HL2 gameplay a year later, RB6V just crapped on everything that ever came out.

As for your statement of "far better FPS out there," I am no judge. I have not played those other games you mentioned. My library is lacking. >_>

WANT NO LIMITS - Play Stalker or Far Cry

Yes, they did play CS:S. They mentioned it in the review.But Counter-Strike is not "CS-Source and a crapload of mods."

Anyway, I really have no way of arguing. Though I do believe I enjoyed Jedi Outcast more than Half-Life 2.

I have to agree. Its full of orginality, innovation and amazing animation but the core gameplay is crap for an FPS. The combat just feels totally 'meh'. Its too dull, I even like Killzone more for its combat (thats right you heard me).

STALKER killed it too!

But Orange Box, ultimate value still.

Don't get me wrong, I'm buying this for my 360...but this out of control adoration for HL2 needs to stop. Crysis will blow, trust me. This game with score high, but for any TRUE FPS fan out there, it will suck. You can only play games like Quake and Doom for so long before you wonder why you are playing it - and then end up going back to Quake 4.

I'll get the OB for the 360 just to play TF2 on XBL

For starters, the PC version is $10 cheaper and, provided that you have modern hardware, it also looks better than the Xbox 360 version. The 360 version doesn't run as smoothly, though its frame rate is hardly a problem, either.

360 has HL2 that has better grapics then the orginal HL2. I think the PC version in the Orange box is the same old PC version.

Blame Valve because there should be no problems. Halo 3 looks better then the PC version of HL2: EP2.

How can people say HL2 is overrated is beyond me. Lackluster single player experience as an FPS? You have got to be kidding me. This game sets such an ambience that you actually feel like your in the world unlike most mindless FPS. Not enough action? Wow how can someone even dare say that. Half-Life is Jam Packed with killer action to the 100th degree. HL2 is not overrated. There's a reason it got GOTY and that is because it is one of the best FPS of all time.

And good for people who are bored with Orange Box already. I'm not. I've been playing TF2 since the beta was available and I'm still playing it every night and at school on laptops. It's a blast. Portal was very short but enjoyable for the time spent playing it. And I'm only about an hour and a half into Episode 2 and having and incredible experience (And I haven't even hit the big stuff yet)

because he is a sony fanboy who thinks all ps3 exclusives are incredible (even if they suck bad) and all games on other consoles are horrible, atleast thats what ive noticed from most of his threads ive read so far

Great score, but the 360 owners are missing out on the true experience of Team Fortress 2. My buddy picked up the 360 version and said the servers are absolute garbage and 16 player support isn't that amazing considering the PC is doing 24(default) and 32 player servers... Also, Halo will largely overshadow the awesomeness that is tf2.

If you have a PC that can run the orange box quite well, its really a no brainer and get the PC version.
