Out of all the AAAAE's, MGS4 is easily the greatest

And this is coming from someone who has played a number of AAAAE titlesincludingOcarina of Time, Soul Caliber, GTA 4 (notexclusive to oneconsolebut still worth mentioning), and Mario Galaxy 2. MGS4 is unlike any other game I've ever played, the game is simply jaw-dropping visually and the gameplay, as well as the story suck you in and immerse you into an incredible experience. Not to knock off any of the other games that recieved 10s, but MGS4 is one experience you absolutely can not miss out on. If for some insane reasonyou still have not played it yet, please play it.I'd argue it is still worth buying a PS3 solely for this game.

Well, as a MGS fan, I can't say that it's not my favorite AAAA Rated GS title...but I cut slack for those that don't like it. Calling it Moviegear solid or whatever.

To the critics that say alll the Metal Gear games are really only X hours of gameplay, mostly movies... I say ah yes, but it's a hella great X hours of sweet, sweet gameplay! :P

I agree 100%. I did buy a PS3 for MGS4. In fact, I got a PS3 over a year before MGS4 came out just because I was anticipating it so much.

Probably my most hyped game of the generation, and it exceeded the hype. I will never forget that game, it's not just a game, it is a life changing experience. That game changed me for life!

I disagree. It's the second greatest. The first will always be OoT. Even now, it's the best game I have ever played. :)

The most overrated game ever on gamespot? The facgt that re4 and uncharted 2 didn't get that score is unbearable imo. At least choose a game that actually deserves it.

Out of the 3 its the one i most definately prefer but even as an MGS game its not the best even critically im sure MGS2 scores higher if we go onto metacritic.

Not for me. I was actually surprised GS gave it a 10. Happy at the time because I was a huge MGS fanboy, but shocked once I played it.

For this gen I'd take SMG2 as the best AAAA. That game alone was worth owning a Wii for.

It was a great game and I did love it (Im trying for big boss emblem atm) but I don't know if it deserves a 10, maybe it does if you play MGS 1,2 and 3 prior to playing it and get yourself hyped up because then it has a lot more impact. I don't know why people say it looks amazing either because it has an awful brown smeared look to it (maybe we are seeing through snakes cataracts), and it isn't just because I'm spoilt by my pc because I think KZ and UC look really nice :P.

SMG2 didn't deserve its 10 either, the first SMG should have received a perfect score and I think gamespot were correcting that mistake by trying to make up for it with the sequel (which while still amazing didn't have the impact of the first).

TC is right on. MGS4 is SOOOOO unique. It's a one of a kind game, it's innovative, it was so ahead of it's time, even today playing that game makes it feel like it just came out. It was the first true next gen title imo.

Plus it's one of the games that has the most amazing moments ever. So many epic memorable moments in that game.
