Sales I agree however reviews... I don't know are you new to gaming? SC is easily the best RTS ever made I disagree wholeheartedly, does that make me wrong? And besides, the person above said he doesn't know. Which is the wiser answer as none of us know how the reviews will fall.
I love the GOW franchise but Starcraft II will bury GOW III in sales. GOW III will be a phenomenal game I believe but Starcraft II actually is making me want to upgrade my dinosaur of a PC just to play it, it's been awhile since a PC game has made me feel the NEED to do that.

Now, when it comes to GoW III and SC II and reviews, I know it might be a bold thing to say, but they could possibly be very even. A lot of critics love GoW, and if that trailer is any indication of what to expect from the game, reviewers are going to have nothing to say but good things about it.

Yeah I dont really see where the OP was going with this. OP You underestimate the epicness that a Starcraft game brings to the table, not to mention it will have legs for years and im also pretty sure there are more PC's out there than PS3's.
Anyone who thinks God of War III will outsell Star Craft 2 seriously needs a reality check. Star Craft has a MUCH huger following, and if it's even half the game its predecessor is, it will sell far more copies than God of War III. This is not to say that I think God of War will sell horribly or anything, it's a great franchise. It just doesnt' have any hope of outselling a game like StarCraft

Wasn't that epic? Dude, that game is over 10 years old and there are still a RIDICULOUS number of people that play it. There are StarCraft CHIPS and TV shows in Korea. A slew of novels, and one of the hugest fanbases of any single game or series. How anyone can downplay the significance of StarCraft is totally beyond me. There's a reason why it's taken so long to get a sequel.

They have had 120,000 people show up just to WATCH a game of Starcraft being played, and you want the number of people actually playing it???
Why are people comparing a game that is mainly played ONLINE to a single player game. The endless hours of online play is enough to warrant a purchase from anybody. Honestly, this is like comparing apples and oranges.

the God of War series couldn't break the 4 million mark on the console with the highest userbase in gaming history - ie. the PS2
what makes anybody think that it will sell better on the console with the lowest userbase this generation - the PS3?
and to follow that up - what makes anybody think that the GOW series will magically become such a big hit on the PS3 that it will outsell a 10+ million selling series like STARCRAFT

Sells wise? SC2 obviously. Anyone who trys to say it is because SC2 is a "better game" is a fanboy or has an agenda. The reasons it will sell better have already been stated multiple times.
Critical Review wise? Quite honestly it could end up being dead locked. SC2 is not going to get a perfect score if only because of that "releasing the game multiple times" bollocks. Not to mention any other minor issues that get nitpicked. You are probably looking at a 9.0-9.5
God of War III could easily score a AAA range if not pull a MGS4 on us and get a 10. You never know, many people were not expecting the MGS4 score and look what happened.;)
