Oh yeah..Also alligators.. MAY be in the game.
I have the new GameInformer, and judging by their review, they loved it. It is compared to GTA IV in terms of gunplay, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Pretty much the only negative I read in their review was on a tangent story thread that lasts far too long, everything else they loved. Also, they wished there were a few more exciting missions. Not that most aren't, but they described three that blew their minds and were disappointed there weren't any others that quite lived up to them (not really a knock on the game though). Perhaps the coolest sounding part of the game is the way times change. GI describes how you literally witness the end of an era over the course of the game. By the time you reach the final town that you'll be doing missions out of, it will have paved streets, automobiles everywhere and even a cinema. The reviewer states the way the game makes you feel as though you're leaving everything you just played through behind as times change, from the vast open plains to the prostitute infested saloons, is very, very cool and well done. Also, the reviewer praises the ending, stating that its a departure from the usual ending to games, and was also very well done.

Yeah I agree. If there's a running contest between Niko and Jogn, I bet John would win easily.

Can you imagine how shocking it must have been to live in such a transitional time period? Getting a mere glimpse of this in the game is worthy of a purchase alone.

Oh yeah i would most likely stay in my home with a rifle in my hands.I should tell you now...
You cant '' ride'' hookers in this because John is married. Oh well.
We can still lasso them and put them on train tracks.
AAA. Clint Eastwood would be prowd, and that's saying something. Plus, it's ROCKSTAR! When have they ever failed? Also, who's willing to bet that you can drive a Model T Ford when you reach the final town?gmc2u_64Rockstar said you cannot!
They are still in the game however.

To be honest, Red Dead kind of taught me a history lesson because I had no idea the days of the Wild West lasted until 1911. Its going to be amazing to witnesssuch achange first hand.Oh man i hope i do not get modded for spamming but it will take 20 mins to go from one end to the other on horse at full speed no stopping at all and on the fastest horse.
It took 20 mins to RUN from one end in gta 4 to the other.
nobody cares about muitplats in system wars. Thanks for the response guys! :D
Like I said though, the thread got posted early inadvertently, so I'm playing catch up, haha. I just got back home so I'm working on updating the OP now.
And seriously...WHY DIDN'T THIS GAME ALREADY HAVE A HYPE THREAD!?!? :P
Ryan_Som
Your getting a PS3 just for this game? It will be worth it just for the amazing exclusives Sony has. Forgot to mention in my last post, nice job on this thread TC.[QUOTE="djsifer01"][QUOTE="The_Capitalist"]
Well, my PS3 is arriving soon. This game better be worth the PS3 I paid for.
The_Capitalist
Yeah, but I am also getting the PS3 to act as a home media center. Being able to play console exclusives is only the icing on the cake.
But, of course, a PC version will eventually arrive, and when that happens, I'll sell my PS3 version and get that instead.
Gotcha, that makes sense. I though for minute you were getting it just for that game.Awesome thread.SaltyMeatballsThis game makes me want to buy a horse. I dont think that would go down to well.. it might eat my cat.

If they do not care about what is looking to be one of the absolute best games this year, then that is their loss. I think the bulk of the 360 and PS3 owners are paying serious attention to this one, though.

Yeah i mean come on! Where else can we uppercut a cow without getting badly wounded?!We see many good-great games come and go. Every now and then, however, we see one of those stand out, exceptionally great games that will be memorable. The kind of games that we will look back on next gen and say, "man, I had such a great time when I first played that. I love that game." This is what RDR is looking like to me. So much for keeping my hype in check, huh?
Im going to probably get ripped apart for this but I think it will get a 10. Game looks really good and sounds very ambitious. And R* are great developers. So yeah a 10 is my guess.:D
