Overrated game of the year

the last time i liked Smash Bros was the orginal on N64. GTA4 was boring , i took it back( gamestop 7 day rule)

and i liked i said, MGS4 was a movie not a game.

MGS4 is simply the most the overated game in history because its not even a game and its not funny.

Serioulsy ppl, This game had way more Cutscenes than game play. ANd i will glady go into detail if u want.

Its quick to note that MGS1 got me into 1 player adventure games.

I love all the Cows saying Gears of War 2 was over-rated when they have obviously not even played the game.

GTA 4 did not deserve a 10. It was a lot worse than San Andreas.

Gears 2 is very in depth...But whatever no use arguing.

Mine will have to be:

Brawl, Melee kills brawl in everyway possible.

MGS4, Great yet i wan't a game not a movie.

R2, RFOM had a great story resistances 2 wasn't as enertaining or made any sense i needed that chick to help me tell what the hell i was doing. She flew safely in a plane from the crash she didn't die where is she...?

Gears 2 for me i just couldnt get into it

take cover , come out to shoot , take cover , come out and shoot again 

It just got very repetitive imo and i loved the first gears for some reason 

GTA IV, I got it on day one and still haven't beaten it yet, most missions are boring and tedious, I know I put over 20 hours into it, but come on, and it has framerate issues, and the online multiplayer lasted a few days for me. San Andreas is WAY better.

Brawl as well, the online is crappy(and laggy) and isn't much different from the SSB games, plus most new characters suck IMO. 

Fable 2 was awfully overrated. It was a good game and the combat is fun, but the co-op mode sucked big time. It also had other issues such as the way your character runs (or am I the only one who feels that running felt really unnatural?)ChrnoTrigger

It deserved a 8.5. The co-op did suck, but the game was just addiciting. Also, when i first started, the running felt wierd, but i got used to it and now it feels great. Not overated

I beat the Original on Insane the First night I had it, so I believe Three days is enough to know if the Single player has any depth at all because you can finish it in one sitting...

I'm no Sony fanboy. I don't even own a Ps3 but I have to admit that Gears of War 2 is the most overrated game this gen. It's just 8 hours of mindless shooting with absolutely no depth what so ever. I thought GTA 4 was overrated but Gears 2 is infintely more overrated.

no. gears 2 is not overrated. it got a fair score for what it's worth.

great game with a rubbish story and not radically different from the first.

gta4 and brawl are by far the most overrated games of the year.

 MGS4 deserved its score IMO, but i can understand some people's dislike of the cutscenes.

I find GTA4 to be slightly overrated. I don't think its a ten but its a 9.5 in my book. Having done a trophy run recently the story missions were fun, but the side missions and friends stuff werent.

Here we have a game that is highly anticipated, and actually receives a worthy score which validates the hype. The greater majority who have played it support the praise of the numerous reviews. It's an overall popular game. So of course it must be "overrated".

This is just Gears 1 all over again. And the bias of the fanboys doesn't make it any more true now then how it happened back then.

I own a PS3. I've beaten MGS4.  Three times.  I don't hate it or Sony.  I am not a lemming.  MGS4 is a bit overrated.  Great game.  Not a 10.

But I really liked the game.  Alot.  I'm just saying it wasn't perfection.   

On a side note, shame about it's multiplayer.  That is a game begging for longevity and it was let down by Konami's dumb online setup

The more i play Gears 2 the more i think how in the world MGS4 got a 10. So yeah MGS4 is the most overrated game of all time to me. Beat it and leave it.

I would have to say Brawl. I tried hard to get into it, but I really couldnt find the fun in it, nor did I find any notable improvements over Melee. Im sure there are plenty of improvements Brawl fans so dont jump all over me, I've never been a huge fan of the SSB series so Im simply judging whats on the surface.

GTAIV just failed to live up to its own name, but its still good.

I dont really see how MGS4 is overated though. It basically lived up to and even surpassed every expectation it had which is a lot to say for such an ambitious title. As a long time fan my only disapointment was how poor the story was by MGS standards.

I also cant see how GeoW2 is considered overated. It took all the good aspects from the first GeoW and multiplied them 10 fold.
