I own more 3rd party Wii games then 1st and 2nd games. The arguement that "Wii has no or no good 3rd party support" is now a myth.
As for the games, well that depends on peoples preferences.

Hey, if you like MGS, good for you. I dont see any ambition at all, but i'm happy you do.
if you like MGS thats fine but Mario is a top of the line platformer if you dont like it oh well dont play them
You sure you wanted to quote me? :PRespawn-d, if you limit yourself to Nintendo first party titles, you are only setting yourself up for disappointment. There are some very brave and unique titles that you should at least rent such as Muramasa, Sin and Punishment 2, Okami, No More Heroes 1 and 2, and Little King's Story. At the very least, they will satisfy you until your PS3 is fixed. Hope this helps. :)
to 2nd poster,
you are wrong
ps2 hardly has any online any more
so ya um how is that embarassing
wii has more online games then ps2 will or does now
sure in its long run -its an older console it had more
but now you can not compare ps2 to the wii
cause then your warranting me to say dreamcast had more online games then ps2 when itcame out
and no owning a wii does not mean waiting for myiamoto to remake the same old
there are other games available exclusively for the wii more actualy are exclusive to the wii
and wheres this remake your talkin about
we can say the same thing about halo and gran turismo
forza defiantelly ,
because all nintendos doing is making a whole new game using the same ip
same thing microshaft is doing with halo in fact this gen alone we seen more halo games then main mario games
so why arent you complaing about microsoft who does the same thing
gears of war is a new ip but yet it already has 3 in the series on one platform
mario has more but they been on 5 consoles and 5 handhelds
which is alot more systems compared to ms
your probabyl a fanboy of halo
but ne way,
wii has alot of other games like
red steel 2
madworld
house of the dead overkill
cod series
gh and rb series
wwe series
driver paralel lines
bully
zack and wiki
bloombox
silent hill sm
klonoa
dead rising
dead space extraction
re series
gt pro series
mariokart
nascarkart racing
more sims games then xbox ps3-their getting their first one ,
so ya if your in to the sims, ,and other games that are similar wii is the only current gen option
it has sims 2 pets ,sims 2 castaway my sims series and soon sims 3
so if your looking for a pc like expeirence wii is the closest one
i bought a wii for nintendos titles yes but i also own it for other reasons
so can i say owning a ps3 means sitting around waiting for more final fantasys /gows gts twisted metal yes i can
also ican say the same thing about microsoft
facti s your thread is atotal failed logic to go by

this year's releases include games like sky crawlers, fragile, tatsunoko vs capcom, endless ocean, no more heroes 2, monster hunter 3 and red steel 2 you're on a videogame website. try doing some researchbenbeckmanI have spent more time playing these Wii games than anything on the ps3 this year. People bashing the Wii in 2010 because it has no games have no decent taste in games themselves.
I have spent more time playing these Wii games than anything on the ps3 this year. People bashing the Wii in 2010 because it has no games have no decent taste in games themselves. I think they are just misinformed. Like how everybody here was complaining of a drought here in early 2009. There was a drought, if you didn't have a Wii.[QUOTE="benbeckman"]this year's releases include games like sky crawlers, fragile, tatsunoko vs capcom, endless ocean, no more heroes 2, monster hunter 3 and red steel 2 you're on a videogame website. try doing some research-Skeletor-
There are many cool IP's exclusive to the Wii. You just look around at GAMESPOT and you'll find em.;)
Also, it'd rather play a new Zelda than any of the games that are coming soon on the PC/PS3/360/DS/PSP or any other hyped up title. So yes, a new Zelda is reason enough to own a Wii.

Yeah, I wouldnt look to Gamespot as the best source for Wii anything.that fat plumber also happens to be in some of the best games in gaming history in Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario 64(one of the few games from that era that still stands the test of time) and Mario Galaxy Also ambition=/= quality. Who the hell cares about story? The day Mario has story, is the day I quit playing mario.
I'm sorry did you say something? I was staring at your sig.:PWhile that's true for some, I've played games that aren't by him as well.

The funny thing is, there are plenty of Mairo games with great stories. The Paper Mario Trilogy, Super Mario RPG, and the Mario and Luigi series. Not sure you're giving mario his due, Zaibach.
Nah, most aren't core gamers that are jumping around on plastic Wii Fit boards for the Wii and haven't a clue who Miyamoto is. :?

Those are Mario RPG's. They are a different series of games. When people talk about Mario, they mean Mario games, not games that Mario stars in. It's what happens when games using the same IP are so radically different from one another. No sadly, in fact, it hardly has any open world games in general.[QUOTE="Respawn-d"]
Does wii have any open world action adventure games like infamous
mitu123
I blame it's hardware.:P
i guess NMH but who wants infamous its an above average game i would greatly pass on
The Wii has a lot of nice 3rd party games. The problem is that people are too busy complaining about the Wii having no games and allowing the good third party games to sale horribly. If the old and formal so called hardcore nintendo fans stop sitting on their asses complaining about the Wii not having no good games and maybe attempt to buy the good third party games, maybe developers would actually attempt to make more good games for the Wii and not taking their projects else where...Sad thing is that it's true that most 3rd party doesn't do much for the Wii and it's mostly Nintendo that does the good stuff for the System but seriously there's some good stuff on the Wii. Just search.

It's open world felt so tacked on though, it barely counts.:P[QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]The Wii has a lot of nice 3rd party games. If the old and formal so called hardcore nintendo fans stop sitting on their asses complaining about the Wii not having no good games and maybe attempt to buy the good third party games, maybe developers would actually attempt to make more good games for the Wii and not taking their projects else where... It's nice to hope, and I want to believe, but it's not very likely to happen. Nintendo's been very successful on the Wii with their well-funded, high profile, high quality products. It stands to reason that if you put similar products on the system, they, too, would sell. That is actually more the norm than the rule. Great, mainstream-oriented Wii games with great advertisement and funding sell remarkably well for a single-system game. There is no logical reason why third parties continue to put cheap projects on the Wii while they will put funding behind Dead Space 2, even though the original did not sell according to expectations. More people buying on the Wii, sad to say, won't necessarily change the minds of developers and publishers - they seem dead set against Nintendo for this round. Again.Sad thing is that it's true that most 3rd party doesn't do much for the Wii and it's mostly Nintendo that does the good stuff for the System but seriously there's some good stuff on the Wii. Just search.
