Palword is just a mixmatch of what went viral, and was/is popular on the socials. There's no depth or quality gameplay of any kind. No idea how its even possible to truly enjoy such a brainless experience, but to each their own, i guess.

Looks like Phil Spencer's trips to Japan weren't just paid holidays, after all... While he wasn't able to get console exclusives from the big Japanese devs, he was able to lock down a console exclusive from the Japanese indie dev Pocket Pair, which paid off big time.

Eh don't agree, fortnite started off as a stupid cop op Lego game, and even though I didn't care for it, once it made BR mode similar to pub g it took over. Both monster collecting genre and survival are extremely popular genres.. and this is a mix of both.

I like seeing the pressure on Nintendo and Gamefreak. I like Pokémon. But gamefreak/Nintendo has been so lazy with the franchise I'm giddy seeing this small developer swoop in and get big traction.
