I have been following this game for awhile now. As a PC gamer I am more excited for this shooter than I am for Crysis 2. :o

If you really think that DICE is going to just scrap the PC version in favor of a console version even after dropping DX9 support, I think you'll be quite suprised.

Im intrested if there is still an actual single player portion of the game. It was mentioned when the game was first announced but since then nothing has been said about it. I wouldnt be surprised if it just ended up being multiplayer with bots. I wouldnt care much either, its clearly a multiplayer game.

I dont doubt that BF3 on the PC will recieve some sort of attention, but I have doubts that it will end up supporting 64 players with mod support like Red Orchestra 2. And personally, if it isnt an improvement over BF2, then im not getting it.

They haven't announced a single thing about BF3 other than we know it will be on the consoles. Everything else ever has stated it's really built for the PC first. DICE is excited for the PC version. How can it be BC3 just becuase it's going to be on the consoles?

It's a sequal to BF2. BC2 was a sequal to BC1. DICE isn't just going to strip it down to nothing. If they wanted to do that, they wouldn't have bothered making a PC graphics engine (Frostbite 2.0).

supposedly yes (along with Coop). Nothing is known about it other then that there is a German campaign as well. Personally, I think its just going to end up being the multiplayer with bots. Its deffinetly a multiplayer centric game.

But the online is designed to be very cinematic and immersive. I played a lot of the original game, and it always felt very much like a singleplayer game just by the way it was paced.

Amazing. I'll state my inflamatory supposition again: give me this game over ALL console games combined.

Nothing is better at a multiplayer shooter than PC and the PC community. Can't wait.

Yeah, sure. But why do you always jump in an R.O 2 thread to speak you're opinion? You've made it clear that you prefer casual FPS games more, and that's fine, but why hang **** on a game that's trying to achieve something a little more than CoD clone X?

You're free not to of liked the first R.O, but to dismiss it so easily when it is so well regarded by a gaming community that you've admitted that you can't identify with doesn't make much sense to me, and jumping in every R.O thread to state this over and over again makes less sense again.

I don't go into thread's on subsim.com and tell them that silent hunter 3 is an overrated piece of trash, so why are you here exactly? Perhaps you are being insulted because people now identify you as a troll due to previous behaviour...

This game sounds amazing, I hope I can get into despite how difficult it is to play, though bots and mods will make it fun for months to come.

Frostbite 2.0 doesn't support DX9 by default. They have/had to do modifications so that it can be supported by consoles. Thats why there were news saying that BF3 wouldn't be able to run on Windows XP.

So far my hype for military FPS goes like this Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad > Homefront > Battlefield 3

Looks great this is one of my most anticipated PC games.

Its the gameplay. It has nothing to do with being PC exclusive. The MP will truly be competitive and ball-breakingly hard while still being immensely fun.
