That is why ^ is showing up here to "rip" on he game after the PC gamer article clearly says this is going to own everything the consoles have ever done.

It's a sequal to BF2. BC2 was a sequal to BC1. DICE isn't just going to strip it down to nothing. If they wanted to do that, they wouldn't have bothered making a PC graphics engine (Frostbite 2.0).

following this i wouldnt have bothered with AC2 but im sure glad i did there are many sequels that are vastly better than the original game in the series and its just plain ignorant to say you dont like a game you have never played (unless you dont like the genre in total)

The Sniper scope alone in RO2 is 10 generations in front of any other game.

I couldn't get into the original RO, something just felt lacking about the gameplay to me. However, this is has definitely piqued my interest.

E] Because its my dam right to do so, i am allowed to say what i want, when i want, about a game i dont enjoy alot. I dont go out on people who dont ejoy halo alot, i dont care about those people as long as they dont say it is bad for some ass reason like MS OR 360 FAILS. Yeah, 'cause sequels totally have the magic ability to reach back in time and change how things were five years ago.

Anyway, if you guys ever got a chance to see the actual PC Gamer magazine article, they have an awesome cross-section tank diagram that shows the hit locations. THIS is the single reason why TWI has got the military shooter locked down. John Gibson (president) said in things like Battlefield, whenever you enter a vehicle, you just become the thing and your wheels are pretty much your legs and you have a health bar just like you would on the ground. That's my exact opinion as well.

Red Orchestra is the first shooter that actually allows players to actually *control* a vehicle. Being inside the tank isn't just a screen filter but almost like a game in itself. I love the fact that there are a bunch of things that can go wrong while you're inside the thing that could kill you at any given moment. Optics can be broken, ammo inside the tank can explode (the diagram states machine gun ammo will go off inside the tank and kill members of the crew), the turret can be damaged to reduce swivel speed... I forget if they put this in the article, but a dev from TWI likes to aim at the right side of the turret and take out the loader to hamper the enemy tank's reload speed.

The level of detail is unrivaled. ARMA is great and all, but the RO tank mechanics trump ARMA's vehicles in every regard.

Really looking forward to this. Everything I've seen makes this look like the type of game I've been wanting for years; WWII setting, 64 players, greater realism, larger maps, more strategic gameplay, unrestricted mod community, etc.

No, because sniping with a moving crosshair from 2 miles on a miniscule bodypart is impossible with a controller. This isn't your typical CoD awesome l33tz skill gameplay. You actually die alot and the maps are mostly designed for 64vs64. This is a small developer, no way they have enough money to put up servers.

Also the lack of buttons. Sure they can do the hold down this button and d-pad it, but I have a feeling the average console gamer will chuck the game out his window when he gets killed in the middle of the road while figuring out how to adjust the sights of his rifle or swap out an overheated machine gun barrel ("guns dont overheat! lol gaem sux!")

I'm happy to claim openly that I think the 64-man WWII-'em-up will be a better, more modern multiplayer experience than anything else currently on or on its way to your PC. It's generation-leaping stuff.

Quit with the self-righteousness, I'm not trying to curb anyone's freedom of speech, I'm pointing out that you're behavioral habits on this forum, which includes jumping into EVERY single R.O2 thread to tell us how much you hated the first game and how that means the second game is going to be terrible, point to you being a troll. You're point was made 4 threads ago, so why else are you here other than to stir people up? As I said, I could jump into every single thread on a forum to tell them all how much I hate X game, but what would be the point? You don't even back anything up with an argument...

Had better tuxtures, but only if you paid some serious attention to it, needless to say, the only way i could enjoy said textures alot is if i stopped to stare at them. There was just not such a big difference, unless you tried to find them. It might have slightly better textures, but its the last thing on my mind when im trying to not get shot by a helicopter. Its better then the console versions, but it has never been a night and day difference, and never will, it would be suicide.Sandvichman

It's something I find intriguing as well. I just hope there'll be a properly good training mission because I don't want to have to accidentally set my teammates on fire.

Been excited for this game for some time now. Been burnt with a lot of multiplayer shooters this gen, but this looks to do things a bit differently, so I'm hopeful :)
