PC gamers are not interested in Doom 2016 game.

All Resident Evil games, Sims 3, Dirt Rally, Arma, Flight Simulator, World at War, Metal Gear Solid and lot's of crappy games are outselling Doom and i see that Doom selling rate goes lower and lower.

When i checked out Doom forum, people have 3 big reason why they not hype.

1)Doom game is more Halo. Yeah, people wanted Doom, not Halo

2)Too casual. This means fast gameplay, no story, AI bots spawn around map, bright maps.

3)It has no horror elements

You can say that it's pre-order and this is reason why it's not selling, but Dark Soul 85 euro game outsells Doom 50 euro price 60X time. Even Fallout 4 Season Pass and even Indie game full priced and more a head No Man's Sky outselling Doom.

You Hype doom or not?

I'm not interested in newest Doom as well like most PC gamers. Just when they removed horror and added fast casual gameplay, open maps with AI spawn, i'm not interested in this game. It's same like Call of Duty with bots.

Not overly excited about Doom, might buy it, but no way I'd preorder it at this point

I'm a little bit interested because I want it to be good. It's not a hopeless case and the game have chances of being good. But I'm not excited for it. On other hand,,, Shadow Warrior 2??? FVCKING HYPED!!!

Dark Souls is about to drop and Doom is still a bit of a ways off, there's no comparison.

And people tend to pre-order games they can somewhat rely to be worth their investment, this is something hardly any1 can say about Doom at this point

I don't think many people at all are interested in Doom. Looks pretty damn boring so far. I think dropping the horror aspect was a big mistake.

all depends on the length of the campaign. if its 4-8h long forget it. If its 12+ i'm getting it on pc.

I see why people are not ready to jump on Doom 4. What we have seen have been touch and go. Stuck somewhere between doom and Doom 3, there is a lot of "close to looking good" moments in what we have seen, but it seems to always fall short. That said my local games store gave one hell of a preorder deal. So I DO have the game preordered (abeit a physical copy this once, since it is around 20$ cheaper then on steam with this deal).

I honestly don't know what to expect from the game, I have some worries to say the least.

Im excited. its my most anticipated game. and OP Doom need to be fast paced. bieng fast paced is not casual and i heard nightmare difficulty will be very challenging.

Holding off to see how long the campaign is. Doom is not an MP game, but if there's meat on the bones then I am definitely there!

Atleast PC gamers have GTA V and Dark souls 3 as most wanted game, they got good taste :)

It just looks boring and Generic ... at least Halo has this Sci fi theme and Story that I like . I know Doom is the father of all shooters but this new one just does not look Impressive .

It's not just "PC gamers", I haven't seen anyone hyped for DOOM yet. Maybe it'll surprise us like Wolfenstein did.

Ah so an elevated price point. That never goes over well with PC gamers so that's a great start.
There is no royalty fee so this is essentially a $70 console game.

The only upcoming PC shooters I'm interested in are Squad, War of Rights & Escape from Tarkov

I'm buying Doom. I don't hype though. Hyping is like mindless gossip. I just wait until a game is released and then sing its praises if it's deserved.

Very good to hear. I'm always in for a long and good singleplayer FPS.

Wolfenstein was also great in that regard, so I know Bethesda can deliver decent singleplayer FPS experiences.

49.99 euro for a AAA pc game seems to be a thing of the past: DOOM, Fallout 4, COD, BF, Need For Speed, Dark SOuls III, all of them cost 59.99 euro on the online stores.

Though if you search around for a bit, you can find them cheaper. I bought Need For Speed for around 42 euro in a brick and mortar store.

I'll never pay 59.99 euro for a PC game. In fact I only do it on very rare occasions on consoles.

They showed "Campaign" trailer.

The game starts as the marine awakens in a UAC bunker on Mars, and realizes that everyone has turned into monsters. Your mission is to kill all monsters.

In short, you kill same monsters 13 hour without any change since there is no story mod in Doom. Campaign is like multiplayer map but with A.I bots.

There are only 8 guns and 1 Chainsaw. (1 pistol, 2 shotguns, 3 rifles, bazooka and minigun). You can carry all weapons and most guns has like unlimited ammo.

I think it looks awesome. Reminds me of the first Doom, and the multiplayer looks like Quake (though it might play like doo given it's on consoles too.)

I may give it a go someday, but not $60 on launch.

Dirt Rally is one of the best racing games, just saying.

There aren't enough information about it so ppl are holding off.

Doom is just not that interesting, it's not known for is story, there are better games from a technical standpoint, and generic multiplayer shooters have been done to death.

To be as good as it once was it needs to be a technical achievement in both graphics and gameplay, and I'm not seeing that. Things like GTA and MGS5 are better engineered games, pushing hardware and optimisation. Dunno why you consider some of the best games as crappy but whatever.

I'm gonna hold off on getting it and wait for reviews to see if it's worth the full price or get it on sale.

It doesn't look like an interesting game. Right now Doom is something I want to be good, but I don't think it will be.

WTF??? Lol. Huge disappointment. Only 8 weapons (fists included) don't sound interesting at all. And those weapons don't sound interesting or unique either.

Meanwhile Shadow Warrior 2 is offering 45+ weapons, along with weapon customization, character upgrades, side quests and much bigger maps. And it's made by much smaller team with way way way less money.

Having actually played it,

The movement speed is clearly catered towards controller users. Also, no CTF in MP modes.

Those were for original Dooms on PC back in the day. So it seems this new game isnt starting that far?

Expected them to improve upon it. Still, looking forward to the game though. Hope it turns out well.

Well... Digital versions selling full price makes even less sense. I understand that retailers are pressuring them and oh dear how horrible that must be.

Get 64bit/DX11 version on PC. Even a potato can run it at 60fps on their new renderer in 64bit/DX11 edition. Don't get original DX9 version. It had optimization issues.

I was at first but something's off about this new Doom though, giving the fact that both PS4/Xbox One are 1080p/60fps on consoles, the PC version has me worry now that I think about it, 1080p 60FPS...at what cost? What did they have to dumb down? I'm just gonna hold out until something's been clear at launch.

Also Doom has to to compete with Overwatch, Uncharted 4, [I know it's not a PC game but let's go ahead and put it on this list] and Total War: Warhammer, those big 3 titles are the on May release and are on the hype, Doom isn't. I really wanted id to do well but for a new Doom game, would be better off as an open-world sandbox game where we could actually explore and meet individual threats at our own desire. As is: it's a tech demonstrator. It's Retro bad but I can live with it.

look at BF4 Stats, Battlefront, Hardline, Call of Duty BLOPS 3.. all on PC have HORRIBLE populations compared to consoles, It's been like this for years.

Moba? Did you even look at the TC's sales list? How about great twitch shooters, jrpg, wrpg, crpg, arpg, mmorpg, sims, strategy? XCOM2 and Witcher3 sold great. Totalwar Warhammer will probably make a killing as well. Dark Souls 3 is 3rd place in sales...

RAGE had more weapons as well. I really wished they made a sequel for RAGE instead of DOOM 4.

Rage is one of the best shooters I played last gen. A very strong new IP from ID.

I get it for PC but i dont pre-order games, lol
