PC gamers are they killing their own platform??!!

The person who wrote this article is a PC gamer himself so read it carefully I will help "highlight" the important lines to back up my arguement!..;)

"Have any of you realized the lack of support for PC products as I have? It seems everywhere I go now the PC sections are getting smaller and smaller."

"So with all the vendors and retailers removing PC stock(including performance parts and hardware) from their shelves where does this leave all of us?? Sure you can say the internet!! But that doesn't help you when even most of our larger sites our trimming down their offerings as well."

"Recent articles involving the makers of Crysis, Titan's Quest, and now even John Carmack and ID software express they are switching their focus to consoles primarily because PC games just aren't selling anymore."

"Console sales and gaming is wiping the floor with PC's and all the evidence supports this."

I never game on PC other than WOW a while ago. 

It's a great gaming platform.  I just like consoles better for my own personal reasons.

What it IS is a game that is making the the market so hostile to smaller developers who want a bit of a budget without making mass-appeal games so hostile that they're forcing to jump ship to consoles. Shafftehr

I'm seeing alot of companies trying to make their games appeal to the masses. It's the reason I'd say traditional RPG developers are creating action RPG. If anything, the PC is probably easier to developer for assuming you are relatively unknown and don't have a massive amount of funds to develop with.

People have been saying that PC Gaming is dieing for a loooooooooooooooong time now.

PC gaming started to crumble when people stop buying games and downloading them illegally. Why make games for less profit than you would make on an actual console? I am a PC gamer and I know PC gamers are the reason why PC gaming is falling apart. Fing downloaders you are ruining this for us. You are giving developers less and less reason to make games on our PC. Sorry for the erage, but I may be a pc gamer but i hate people who steal pc games then complain oh why is PC gaming failing................Theverydeepend

People have been pirating PC games since PC games existed.

It's just that now they are getting pissy about it. 

Bah what a load of rubbish. I pirate games from time to time, but I also buy more games than I ever have. My PC game shelf is full of great titles. Also, if you want to play online, it's basically impossible to use pirated copies most of the time. That's a useful little safeguard.

How about I ask "are video stores killing console gaming?". Because all I do is rent a console title out for a couple of dollars for a week; more than enough time to complete most of them.
