Yea well read about the Bioshock DRM fiasco. Like a lot of pc games the DRM requirements have changed since release.[QUOTE="Iantheone"]Ive never run into limited installs on Bioshock, but I have the Steam version. Also, I have lent friends my Steam games before. You just let them log into your account on their computer in offline mode, simple as that. dc337
As for sharing I shouldn't have to let my friends log into my account in offline mode to play a game I no longer care about. That's probably a TOS violation and I would feel rather lame doing it. I give out 360 games because it is easy, just toss game at friend.
I can accept that I have been outvoted on this issue. DD was sold to pc gamers on the premise of lowering costs but Valve just keeps the retailer's cut for themselves. Those of us who want a dvd and case have been outvoted by pc gamers willing to send Valve $50 and now even $60 for a digital and non-transferable license.
I'll just buy multiplats on the 360 and support the few remaining pc companies that release games on DVD that are transferable.
And you have to give your disc to your friend for them to be able to play the game correct? Its pretty much the same thing, except instead of a disc I give them a password. For me, those $50-$60 pricetags are way way cheaper than buying a console game where I live. The difference is about $40. I could almost buy another game for that much (or many, depending on the sales), or I could save up for a hardware upgrade.
