Console Gaming is much better.
I game on a 50inch Pioneer Elite Kuro with a 7.1 Pioneer Reciever hooked up to a Paradigm Monitor 7 surround sound set. I can tell you consoles are not even CLOSE to PC. Which only makes me assume you're a fakeboy/fanboy.[QUOTE="GioVela2010"]

I hosted them at imageshack yesterday, and I'm not gonna fire myself from my own company.
picture of your face sticking your tongues out, next to your pc with your gamespot id on a paper. if you cant provide that, youre just a fail fanboy :DI built a computer, and I must say, PC Gaming is not impressive at all. What was all the hooplah about? Even the graphics (Crysis) which are so highly touted are hardly better than consoles.

Shame you have such nice hardware (if your not lying), and not making use of it. Go back to your consoles then and give that PC to someone more deserving.

Well apparently I have a DX11 card, so i don't need to do all taht.
So just curious here, but why would you buy a gaming PC if you don't like PC gaming? How does that make any sense? A 5870? Really? who buys a 5870 just so they can play games they apparently don't find impressive. It happens - sometimes the idea of something is a lot more appealing than reality turns out to be.I agree, PC gaming is not impressive...now, relax, let me explain why i think that.
Sure, the graphics are above everything else, and i say, that is quite impressive...then again when it comes to the actual game is not impressive, now, i'm not saying is a bad gaming device, because is not, i'm a huge RTS fan and i love StarCraft with passion, but my point is, that unlike what some Hermits try to "prove" the PC is not the almighty device with games so good and out of this wrorld that an ordinary human mind can't understand, i say PC gaming is as good as the Console gaming.
madsnakehhh
You know absolutely nothing about PC Gaming if you think that way, I'll start with just a small sample of games that prove you wrong:
Play these games then get back to me ;), and as I said this is just a minor part of PC Gaming.

then you have not optimized it very well. My 2.5 year old pc outperforms the ps3 easily. take for example Mirror's Edge, I run it on completely maxed out settings with physx, 4x anti-aliasing, vertical sync, max resolution.... it runs it around 50fps and looks much nicer than the ps3, this is just one example, but a fine tuned pc will outperform a ps3 anyday, the hardware is just superior plain and simple. You have to partition your drives well, shutdown the useless windows services, optimize your page file, get the right drivers for both your motherboard and GPU and install your heatsink properly. If you do anything of these wrong there will be drastic decreases in performance, do them all right and you get nearly instantaneous loading times in most games with flawless graphics. I'm not trying to be mean, but you need to set it up correctly to get the performance and this does take quite a bit of experimentation.I built a computer, and I must say, PC Gaming is not impressive at all. So you buy 2 Iphones and a PC, that you have no idea if you'll like or not, with hardware you have no idea how to optimize or update, to play games you probably didn't even turn AA for, just to end up coming to a forum to tell what you thought. You must really be burning a hole in your pocket, or doing your best to supply your E-Peen.

I edited that post to give you an idea, but I say that because I was like you when I built my pc 2.5 years ago, I just recently fixed it up.
q6600
tuniq tower heatsink
p35-ds3r mobo vista 64-bit
geforce 8800 ultra
seagate barracuda 500gb hdd (OS + page file)
western digital caviar black 1tb hdd (games on a 60gb partition)
6gb crucial ballistix ddr2 ram
I'm just recently playing mirror's edge and on max settings (except for AA) things load almost instantly and there is absolutely zero stutter. I have a ps3 and a 56' 1080p and the game is vastly superior on my pc. I am going to overclock soon, my cores run aroun 35 degrees with zero load because of how I applied my Heatsink, you have to get the heatsink:
-oriented correctly in the case
-proper distribution of thermal paste
-screwed on extremely tight, almost to a point of breaking the mobo
before I installed the heatsink right my cpu was around 60degrees with no load.

To build such a beautiful machine and not enjoy it is a crime imo. If he does not like PC gaming that is 100% ok, but I find it silly to do something like the TC did. PC gaming is not a cheap hobby, well gaming isn't cheap period lol, and most people do research before investing time and money into something like this.[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="lowe0"] It happens - sometimes the idea of something is a lot more appealing than reality turns out to be.lowe0
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6202552/index.html -- that should help ;-) The differences are not extremely significant. I mean both console and PC versions look fantastic, but the PC version is definitely on top.100000
Notice the PC version has been gimped to give the consoles a slim chance. Resolution has been scaled back for console resolution. Try comparing running at 1080i or even 2560x1600 with all settings maxed out then you will see a massive difference. It's like past gen vs future gen :)

I think that PC gaming is more immersive.
My first argument is: I have a 46" 1080p Panasonic plasma, connected with a PS3, Xbox 360 and a HTPC (specs: i920 oced to 4 Ghz with W7 64, 6 GB DDR 1600 Mhz, Raden 5870) and on the other hand adesktop (spec: Q6600 oced to 3 Ghz, 4 GB DDR 800 Mhz, GTX 275) that is connected to a 20" 1680 x 1050 Viewsonic monitor. I currently sit at 65-70 cm from the monitor and at 250 cm from the plasma, so the huge 46" only covers about 22º of my field of vision compared with the 38º that covers the 20" monitor.
So, the bigger size of the screen doesn't work at all, since gaming from a couch is usually too far away to truly take advantge over the bigger degree o vision with the monitor. Also, console gaming doesn't sustain multiscreen 180º gaming as ATI Eyefinity does. And couches aren't mandatory better than my Flendit Royale chair. Also, my LG Home Cinema audio isn't better than my Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Soun Blaster Fatal1ty Titanium combo, at all.
And there's another reasons due I like more to play in PC, but I just stand here in the basics, since I already known that this discussion will never end.
that's why it's such a serious hobby for some people. It's not cheap, but the performance is worth the effort. If you want something easier to use go for a console, that's why they exist. They are an inferior product in terms of gaming but you get what you pay for.well at least its cheaper and easier to use.
console are way too expensive.
