Take a few minutes to peruse my posting history around the PS3 launch. Trust me, I railed against plenty of idiots who insisted people who preferred 360 to PS3 did so because they were too poor to pay $599. Guess what I referred to them as? Hint: it starts with an "e".[QUOTE="lowe0"][QUOTE="Raymundo_Manuel"]
Because I know you certainly don't call out PS3 fans for being elitist when they say their system is the best.

And yet you just don't limit yourself when it comes to PC gamers.
"PC Gaming is expensive" - "Well, you can choose to purchase a cheap PC that'll run all games currently" - "You're an elitist"
"PC Gaming is a hassle" - "I haven't had many problems with new games. It's typically only old games from last decade that cause a little trouble" - "You're an elitist"
"I don't care for mods" - "Entire games have been built from the modding community, and even features implimented in future games like Fallout: New Vegas were introduced by modders" - "You're an elitist"
That's the vibe you, and others around here give off when you try and argue against PC gamers. Just like you called me an elitist in this thread for my statement which meant no harm unless taken out of context *cough*
You guys look for trouble where there's none to be found, and when you find no trouble you start some.
Just take a step back, and try to see what a PC gamer is intending to present to other gamers rather than regarding every "Pro PC" sentiment as elitist.
I can't speak for everyone else, but not really, no. I only apply the "elitist" tag to "you just don't know any better, and aren't willing to learn"-type arguments. I don't bother with the "expensive" argument (as the upfront cost is subsidized, not free), I list off the actual cases where console simplicity pays off instead of just referring to them with a blanket "hassle" statement, and while I don't care for mods, that's a personal opinion, not an argument.
