I see R4g's thread rustled some jimmies.

So then go play them.....
I thought this was a forum discussing the gaming industry and the state of all gaming systems. Am I wrong to presume that ?
I think where it goes wrong is when you put down other platforms to "try" and praise another. If you game,then game. Love all games and all platforms. System Wars is slightly stupid..why put down something you like just because its not on your system of choice?

I never tried to praise PC. I simply stated facts in my OP. If you see anything wrong in it, you are free to point out any errors.
And yeah, you are absolutely right. I shouldn't put down other platforms.
Yet, what I can do is expect more from PS4 and XBone after being on the market for 2 years. I think everyone should.
I'm actually the biggest console fanboy in this thread, because I expect more.
Give them to me to me then.
Where do you live ?
Not sure if i should answer that.
Lol, be creative ?
If someone asked me that on the internet I could literally think of hundreds of things, before I'd ever give away my real address.
This conversation just got really awkward. Thanks !
I am a bit unsure about the term AAA, as I understand its used to classify games with the highest proffesional ratings, high level of promotion and biggest development budget, but its often used very loosly.
So nothing but small Indie, top-down and filler garbage?
So PC really doesn't have any good games? Guess I'll have to wait for consoles to release some real games to play in 2016.
Am I doing it right herms?
Perfect. Another AAAE/AAAAE for you.
I am a bit unsure about the term AAA, as I understand its used to classify games with the highest proffesional ratings, high level of promotion and biggest development budget, but its often used very loosly.
If you see a publisher use the term "AAA game", they are talking about the game's production budget, and to that extent: the game's marketing budget too. As a game with a huge production budget needs to have an equally huge marketing budget in order to recoup the costs.
But that definition is not the case here. A, AA, AAA and AAAA are simply used to talk about what games scored.
A = 7 /10
AA = 8/10
AAA = 9/10
AAAA = 10/10
These are the most important games for a platform, as they are the highest scoring ones. You'll also see terms like AAAe, which means an AAA scoring game that is also exclusive.
@R4gn4r0k: Quantity yes, but are they actually good games? That's debatable.
PC seems to have both quantity and quality.

You forgot to call all PC games point & click games :D

Doh, I have to keep working at it I see. It's not as easy as you guys make it look but I will just keep taking pointers from the pros :D
Have an internet cookie.
All of those games are niche games.
Not that they aren't fun....but they're not games that if they were to bomb, anyone would notice.
"niche" LOL
XCOM: EU sold 3.5 million copies. The Homeworld Remastered collection (you can guarantee the original games sold more) sold half a million copies.

you mean brainless FP and TP shooters like halo, uncharted, the order 1886 and all the other crap games. Sorry, pc games offer you so much more variation and new things to try out, we dont have to play the same garbage every year.
we still counting that dragon?
Why would it not count?
@lawlessx:
Not in the least...but I'd expect if there were a lot of great games out one would be playing them and not talking about them.
While having an account on a gaming forum, which is entirely about talking about games, including the ones we are playing or have played. It's really not a hard concept "go play them" isn't anything, it's frankly shit posting.
Is that dragon cancer even a game? It's just a bunch of interactive sequences of memories and events that you click on. I loved the experience but as a game it fails. Again I loved it but it's also on the ouya too.
And Undertale released in September last year and got reviewed like two months ago. I agree PC is the better system overall but this list is lacking I feel.
Exactly why does it fail as a game?
@jg4xchamp: Other than the arcades dragon game or collecting pills the game basically plays itself. it's not fun to play, it's on rails, it's not even a walking simulator type of thing. it's just a predetermined path you click on and go to read or interact with what you clicked on . as an experience it's gripping and fantastic but it fails to be a fun video game if i have to be exact. I just really enjoyed it as an experience but as a videogame it's just not what i would play.
I get what it's trying to deliver and it did it flawlessly but i wouldn't return to it someday for that gameplay, but for the emotional ride it delivered.

Sounds like Ace Attorney or other Graphical Novels I played on handhelds.

so thats why you have 155551 posts. i knew you didnt actually play games. kind of weird to spend so much time on a video game website. keep those salty tears coming

Seeing as he's a cow it's understandable, not a lot to play leaves a lot time to post.
Dragon's Dogma is AAA too imo.
The Witness might be too.
I'd say the PC has had 6 AAA games in the past 2 months.

I thought the whole idea of System Wars was to do just that. Every thread is just an excuse to slag the other systems. Otherwise, we'd be in System Loves, not Wars. If that ever happens, bye. ;-)
Homeworld: DoK and XCOM 2 looks like future purchases for me. Not interested in the other two. But, Undertale definitely looks like something my daughters (19 and 8) would play.
we still counting that dragon?

I would just think that if you are trying to make a case for pc superiority, that dragon is kind of a game that everyone says its good, but nobody really plays cause its pretty depressing... I dont think many people are going to be jealous that they couldnt play it...

Yeah I hope to one day play Dragon's Dogma and The Witness too

PC superiority ??!! What the hell ?
That was never the intention of this thread. I'm dead honest.

I dunno, just with lines like:
And pretty much every single great game that came out on consoles in the last months is better on PC
They've been on the market for 2 years now. Seriously, where are the must have Xbox and Playstation games
It seemed like you were making the case that pc was better than consoles cause it had these great games on it :P

My point is that we should expect more from consoles after being on the market for over two years.
And frankly, so should everyone.
People come in here with complete fanboyism, think I'm this big PC fanboy. No, I'm actually the biggest console fanboy in this thread, as I expect more.
@R4gn4r0k: if PlayStation had a 50year plus old console still running; which is what pc is.it would avg 3 to 5 aaa a month too. How you guys get hype of these things is beyond me.

Comparing PCs last two years with PS4 and Xbone's last two years, and it's simply not competition, it's in an whole other league.
But you say "bu bu they've only been out for two years"
Then I say: "Dev kits have been out for waaaaaaaay longer"
This is System Wars, we always compare PC from the start of a console gen. If we counted every single gen for PC, it simply wouldn't work.
@R4gn4r0k: lol look up the 1st 2 years of pc in 1940 or w.e , then that a accurate comparision . Specially if you wanna talk about preperation and dev kits and not worrying about the next console in a couple years.

No, if you wanna make a point, don't tell me I should look up your proof.
You look up the 1st 2 years of pc in 1940 or w.e. Then come back and show me what you got and state your point.
@R4gn4r0k: even worse. 0 then. Before 1947 pc were straight war material. And college experiments etc

LMAO, what a joke system !
People were clearly gaming on their PS4s and Xbones back then because PC had such a ridiculously pathetic library.
@R4gn4r0k: Your actually proving my point. Console are a branch of pc. They fall down next to the root the tree (pc) when there already dead (7 to 10 yers in) with your logic the 1st pc ever was announced in 2012 and lunched 2013. "Clearly" pc hasnt been around as the root of all video games as a OBVIOUS REDUDANT overall advantage. Despite all that it simply has to much capabilities to ever give the enclosed atomphere a console can. Which you cant compare it certains ways. Specially general game libary. I could go on

No man, I said I didn't want to prove your point xD
@R4gn4r0k: lol my bad ? Im not bashin pc btw. I agree its the best. I just dnt think it can be directly compared to console. Mac vs dell type of post make more sense if you talkin pc. And like alienware vs etc.
Gamespot should just have a pc wars section if you ask me.

He says its "niche" because he is a console gamer and XCOM is niche on that platform. The sales were pathetic for consoles.
@intotheminx : Oh yeah I'm well aware of what @mr_huggles_dog is, and it's a lot worse than just being a console gamer. Sometimes he needs to be put in his place.

We've had FMV games, interactive movies, point and click adventure games, walking sims, and all this other stuff, I would argue it's a bit odd to act like That Dragon is any different.
You still spend a lot of time interacting in that world, and one big elements of that game is having to feel hopeless as a player during certain stretches which I don't think works without you interacting with that thing. It being on rails and "not fun to play" aren't exactly reasons why it fails as a game. The fact that the subject matter is about a kid with cancer, would imply the game is not about being fun. Experience and video game don't have to be something completely different. Without spoiling I would say its most potent moment is a product of interaction as much as it is the story concept.
