PC hardware obliterates console hardware

The above statement is not a hypothesis but a fact. Modern PC hardware can be as powerful as you want it to be. You can get four 12-core CPUs with gigabytes upon gigabytes of super fast RAM and four beefy DX11 graphics cards and you could make it even better with a custom design. That's the kind of power not even the next-gen consoles will have. Of course no games utilize all that power but PC hardware is leagues above console hardware.

I think it's time for console gamers to realize that consoles will never match (let alone top) the best PCs in power and rather stop looking for extreme power on consoles (which wasn't really ever there to be honest). The difference is much like between a top end arcade machine from the late 80s or early 90s compared to consoles of the time.

Consoles should rather focus on unique gaming experiences and good exclusive games and a low price. That's why you get a console in the first place.

Obliterates is not the word I would use, but of course the technological aspects of the PC beat the consoles, that's pretty straight-forward. It's an empty statement, though, as you say, it's about how developers use the technology.

Must we state the obvious again? Anyways;

Unique Game Experience - Kinect (Check) Wii U (Check) PS Move (Check) -They aren't unique but they do innovate in some extents.

Good Exclusive Games - Depends on the person. (To me the exclusive are good but not great like a lot of people make it out to be) Nintendo's exclusives however are an exception. They have some great exclusive gems.

Low Price? Prices are way too high for what machine specs you are getting. The thing is or more then half a decade old yet it is still selling at huge price.

You know, this is pretty much common sense and I don't get why there has to be threads on PC beats consoles bla bla bla. Heres the thing, does PC have Tales of Vesperia, Graces and upcoming Xillia, Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, vs.XIII, Lost Odyssey, God of War, Metal Gear solid, Infamous, Uncharted, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kingdom Hearts, Super Smash Bros, Little big planet, Star Ocean, Eternal Sonata, Demon Souls, and countless other games on the PS3, 360 and Wii that will never come to PC.

My Pc of course plays Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Witcher and several other titles way way better, but most seem to forget the reason consoles are popular its because there are many games that are exlusive the those platforms and while pretty graphics are nice, it is ultimately games that make a platform. It's much better to have both PC and Consoles so you don't miss any of these great games.

Also, a game can look gorgeous without being super complex, look at Tales of Vesperia, it's simple, but yet one of the best looking games ever from an artist standpoint. Fanboys of any platform are just as bad as other fanboys. PC Elitists are no better than Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft fanboys, ALL OF YOU MISS FANTASTIC GAMES!
