you need it if you are wrong.

Look are already admitted I was wrong, stop acting like a 12 year old and let it go.

yes but you completly rejected my help effort. the other guy just said "somebody failed at math" which was pretty much a nice way to insult you, I didnt insulted you and I explained with detail where you got it wrong so that the error wouldnt repeat.

Are you that intelligent to come up with this argument? Just think about a little more you'll understand why a PC with 500 mb ram can't run it. I hope:?

Apparently what i said is now false ?

In a trollish way I must add, and after I declined your assistance, you keep on coming back at me much like a 3 year old saying "Why?" after everything you say even though you explained yourself a thousand times.

Well, define a better game. Name a game from 2001 that is still played on a daily basis on the consoles? What about mods? Where are the mods for games on console games? With the exception of maybe 2 games, I do not know of any other games that offer console gamers the ability to create mods.

The types of games I listed are just a part of the PC game family. They do not exist on the consoles just as some console games do not exist for the PC. Fact is, there is no console that could handle a game like Flight Simulator. There can be hundreds on AI in a small area (think the New York City/Newark NJ area) where there are 3 major airports and numerous smaller local airports. When a console can handle that much going on at one time, in one shot without stopping to load the area, then maybe console hardware will be able to compete with the PC. FS is whole world and not just a small area like GoW is.

KalEl370

Better game is defined by the person playing said games. You definitely do not define them for me. If you like rts, sim games, and mmos, knock yourself out. My point is that you are in no way going to make console gamers jealous of those type of games. I personally find them to be crap. I don't think any console gamer doubts the PC has superior hardware. The hardware might "obliterate" console hardware, but the games....not so much IMO.

Exactly, better is subjective. Someone earlier claimed the console had better games. It doesn't, it has different games, just as the PC has different games from consoles. Both platforms share a genre or two and even games from those genres. That is what I was trying to extract from the other poster above. I can think of one game that both platforms shared and the PC was much better and console gamers even admitted to it, but that is due it being better along with it's ability to use mods (and has kept the game alive for 10 years) which they couldn't with the console version.

The problem is no dev will ever make a game for the top of the line PC because the dev cost will be insane for the 12 copies they would sell to people that have these rigs. PC's show their advantages more at this time of the console cycle, when they are becoming more dated and PC's keep evolving.

It's much more expensive to develop for consoles. That's a fact. We get great games like The Witcher 2 that were made for 10 million, but consoles get games that spent millions upon millions and then get closed down because they didn't sell enough.

So apparently owning all consoles and PC doesn't prevent you from spreading false BS.

Not saying it's false, it's stupidity. Console don't require ram to boot up your system which eats most of the ram. Don't compare exact figures if you want to compare PC and consoles. What if I said we have a 4gigs graphics card, 2TB HDD so PC > console it's absurd.

The above statement is not a hypothesis but a fact. Modern PC hardware can be as powerful as you want it to be. You can get four 12-core CPUs with gigabytes upon gigabytes of super fast RAM and four beefy DX11 graphics cards and you could make it even better with a custom design. That's the kind of power not even the next-gen consoles will have. Of course no games utilize all that power but PC hardware is leagues above console hardware.

I think it's time for console gamers to realize that consoles will never match (let alone top) the best PCs in power and rather stop looking for extreme power on consoles (which wasn't really ever there to be honest). The difference is much like between a top end arcade machine from the late 80s or early 90s compared to consoles of the time.

Consoles should rather focus on unique gaming experiences and good exclusive games and a low price. That's why you get a console in the first place.

how long did come up for u to figure that out? it is kind of obvious and look at the prices for both that is one of the reasons i dont have a pc

Modern arcade game machines are powered by gaming PCs e.g. Sega's Ring Edge or Taito's Type X 2.

Troll post? The notion of high price has been debunked so many times it's not even funny.

lightleggy

I'd like to see you debunk my receipt too, then.

my PC costed 900 dollars (and by the looks of it, it should have been way cheaper because i've seen PCs that really come close to mine and they cost 600 dollars so mine should have been 700 at much) and I can max every game thats out there, and you dont need to update every 2 years, you need to update every 5 years maybe, a lot of people still use the 8800gtx or 9800gtx which are like 5 years old and they can still fluedly max games.

NVIDIA's G80 was a long live design i.e. Geforce 8800, 9800, GTS 150(OEM), GTS 250.

sure. modern pc hardware beats console hardware.

but its unfair for current gen consoles to be compared to modern PCs. keep in mind the xbox360 was released in 2005, and the PS3 on 2006.

it will be fairer to compare the consoles with 2005-2006 PC hardware.

Well 2005-2006 high-end PC hardware was also better than what these two consoles had. The Cell unfortunatley didn't prevent the PS3 from being put to shame by Crysis and the nvidia G80 series and dual core Intel :P

What you could say is that consoles have better optimization but that isn't really the point of this thread.

It doesn't match Intel's PC CPU chips. CPUs in a PC can heat up above 60 C when running an uber-game. If a PS3's CPU started producing that much heat, plus the GPU's heat (which is in the 70's), the PS3 would YLOD most likely.:P
