Mainstream reviewers rarely review PC games.
All the major PC games are reviewed.Incorrect, and why do you think "major" games are the only ones that can get AAAA?

meaning that the AAAe PC titles are caught by our eyes..and 90% of PC games are sleepers*hands over flame shield* XDBecause PC games are horrible. No one takes PC seriously anymore and console games are inherently better because PC sucks.

The majority of PC gaming websites often don't even use their highest possible score, because they are awaiting a legendary holy grail to fall into their laps or something. They also hold PC games to much higher standards than most console review sites. It has absolutely nothing to do with the games on PC not being good, no, they would probably get AAAA scores all the time on consoles, its just there are no "generations" to separate games from one another, thus nnothing to negate past standards: i.e. a brand new PC shooter will be compared to Doom, while on consoles, a 360 shooter will probably not be compared with a PS or SNES shooter.
PC Gaming has been there for a very long time (not only this Gen) but it hasn't got an AAAA game while PS3/Xbox360/Wii had got an AAAA game and these consoles were just released this Gen.
and yet pc is the only platform that is 30 years old and still going strong and every gen has the most high rated games this gen alone 12AAAE and 79AAE But in the end who the heck cares if the Pc hasnt got an AAAA or if the number of AAA games on consoles are less. Play what you like and each platform has its strong and weak points. Scores in gaming sites are for fanboys in system wars only. The only good think about reviews is that you get an idea what the game is about

Yup, strange eh?
Ahhh well, in the lomng run, the difference between a 9.5 and 10 isn't all that much.

It couldn't possibly be because of higher standards.
It's not like the PC has more quality games than the consoles. It's not like it won EVERY year of this gen. I mean, totally ridiculous... amirite?

Because your games are so god **** cheap!!!
While we debate whether or not to spend $60 on one game or another, you guys can buy 10 games for that price and not pick and choose. Well, that's exagerated, but the steam sales are really great.
Yet, i can think of 100 PC games that are equally amazing as any AAAA game on consoles
Whispered World is also better than 99% of console AAAA games for me
Because they are Handhelds If you look at this Spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pc5oLqpenpT78W87pMfgvBA PSP & DS are also not included. Only Home Systemsneither does ds or the psp

They aren't included because the people who edit it don't want to include them. :|
Actually, I'd prefer a lot of 8.0-8.5 PC games over 9.0-9.5 console games. There seems to be so much vitality, depth, and creativity in the more obscure corners of PC gaming that the 'AA' tier is far more interesting than the straightforward consolised games that have the most chance of getting a 10 for the PC platform.
[QUOTE="JonSnow777"]
Because an 8 for a PC game is equivilent to a 9.5 or 10 for a console game. You know it's true.
BPoole96
Alright thats pushing it a little bit
Oh yeah? For every console game that gets a 9 or a 10, I can think of a PC game in the same genre with a score of 8 or lower that is more fun. Probably. I've never actually looked at PC game scores.
Another thing is, my Steam games list will put any of the current consoles' libraries to shame with how many awesome games are on it. The difference between a good PC game and a good console game is completely staggering both in scope and enjoyability.
The PC version got 9.0(AAA) while the console versions were 10 (AAAA) There's a big difference plus it's a horrible port and badly optimized for the PC version.GTA IV is on PC and is far superior.

foxhound_fox
Not really. I think if you look at a review for a PC FPS there's just about as much reference to Doom as Modern Warfare 2 would get to Halo: Combat Evolved or Goldeneye 007 (if there would be any reference to either). I don't believe I'm the only one that's ever rated a first person shooter on a console to the granddaddys of the genre a generation or two back.
And to be honest I don't buy the whole "PCs don't have generations" statement to explain a multitude of reasons the PC is rated differently. The only genre I've noticed that doesn't follow the idea of "generations" is the adventure genre. Every other genre you can see a much clearer benchmark where games from that point forward are rated by. It may not follow console generations, but, for example, no one is going to argue the game-changing nature of the '98/'99 PC games (Half-Life, Starcraft, Quake III, Unreal Tournament), the '04/'05 PC games (Far Cry, Half-Life 2, Company of Heroes, WoW), and the '07 PC games (Crysis, World In Conflict, Stalker, King's Bounty: The Legend)
PC has no AAAA game. It's an irrefutable factual evidence.[QUOTE="anshul89"]The PC version got 9.0(AAA) while the console versions were 10 (AAAA) There's a big difference plus it's a horrible port and badly optimized for the PC version.GTA IV is on PC and is far superior.

No. I am not in the slightest going to allow myself to be provoked by this idiotic thread.
