PC is crap for fighters

Excuse the provocative title, but it's true :P

You had to wait, like, more than 10 years? for a good 3D fighter (Street Fighter IV). Not to mention how bad the keyboard is for fighters.

While on the consoles the genre is shining. Maybe not as bright as in the 90s, but still.

And remember, no emu talk :P

A keyboard is like a fighing stick in arcades :P I see nothing wrong with it except for the lack of an analog stick to move, which is up to preference if someone likes that or d-pad/arrow keys more.

Consoles are **** for MMO's and RTS (generally), as they rarely -- if ever -- get any.

I don't see the point of this topic.

Consoles do certain genres exceptionally well, PC's do certain genres exceptionally well.

Playing a fighter on a PC is like playing an RTS on a console.

It doesn't work well, and for good reason. The keyboard might be great for an FPS game, but not so for a fighter and don't even mention the complete lack of splitscreen.

The keyboard is not that bad for fighting games, but the PC really does not have many. New one that just came out is Blazblue, and last year they had SF4.

Honestly I only care about one fighting series: Melty Blood and that's pretty PC-centric IP

Endwar and Halo Wars also did great steps forward in my opinion for console RTS games. With MMO's like FFIV and The Agency I can see a more varied future for consoles.

You can. There are some arcade sticks out there for people to use on PC. You can even use the SFIV arcade sticks that were released as well.

I like Sports games on the PC. Using Keyboard and mouse isn't all that bad.

Wow, thats pretty cool. They should make a keyboard that you can use with consoles for games and not just typing. The mouse also.

Ggpo, Mame, Netplay, and doujin fighting games make PC good for fighters.

and why would you use a keyboard for fighting games when you can evenuse the ds3 or sixaxis. best controllers for fighting to me

yes, but it's great but I still use a controller for that.

the general best controller schemes for fighter are

Arcade sticks>control pads>KB+M>touch screens.

in the future may end up being

I play BlazBlue CT and CS.

I also play Guilty Gear on the PC.

I just plug in a controller and it plays fine.

I've seen a lot of people make their own fighting games on the PC and some are quite good.

They do have Street Fighter 4... But consoles seem to be better for fighters.locopatho
