You have a device that's designed to run games, if another device can't run those games then it does not match. PC with a 20gb hdd will not run GTA 4 therefore the pc doesn't match the 360.

The first definition is all we need. When they say especially because of race, religion etc they mean that those are the most common reasons. They don't state that those reasons are a requirement.

BF 4 isn't a good example since pc version is different from the gimped ps360 version. A 2006 pc is below min reqs on most multiplats over the last few years though. PC gaming will most likely be a lot less expensive during this console gen than last due to the new consoles not being nearly as powerful for 2013 as ps360 were for their launch times. You needed a $2000 pc to match the 360 in 2005 and now you can match the ps4 with a $600 pc. Add in the $50 a year for console mp and console becomes more expensive. Only thing we can't be sure of is if min req on pc games will go beyond ps 4 specs during the gen.

You actually helped prove my point that an infinitesimal percentage of pc gamers have played most of the games the op listed while a much much higher percentage of console gamers have played console exclusives.

Obviously I'm speaking of the long run, that's why i mention $50 a year for mp and bring up the possibility of pc reqs going beyond console specs.

Lets take it back a step shall we. You said that GTA4 can't be run on a PC with a 20GB HDD, that is true however the 360 runs its games from its disc. That whole analogy falls flat on its face because the difference between the two machines and how the games are run.

It was about what pc specs would be needed to match the 360. For the pc to run the same games you would need a larger hdd than the 360 has.

But the 360's HDD is proprietary meaning you are limited at the time of only have a 20GB model. It was not until the first gen Elites came out with the 120GB before you could chop and change. The PC's of the time had HDD's of 160GB to 250GB as standard. Once again, this analogy falls flat because of the differences in the way each machine runs games.
