PC Owns all in 2009: Part 2

Most gameplay styles isn't even right. About the only one that you can really say belongs to FInal Fantasy............none do. Turn based JRPGs were around prior to FInal Fantasy. The formula had already been cast in the mold. Final Fantasy was merely made popular. Being popular doesn't make you original by any stretch of the imagination. The games are derivative because they keep following the same gameplay form the originals. Stories, characters and graphics are not gameplay. Even then, FF6 and 7 are pretty dang close in all those regards.Vandalvideo

I'm into RPGs, and I don't see Final Fantasy XIII or White Knight Chronicles on the PC, so no thanks.

I like Final Fantasy as much as the next guy, and Chrono Trigger is probably in my top 10 favoritegames EVER. However, I don't consider most JRPGs to be true RPGs. Well, the earlyFF gamesare, but they started to stray from that path at FFIV and then just totally forgot the path existed and created their own formula. Yes, the characters have stats and items, but you are given almost NO control over character growth. Also, you can't impact the story or the world around you at all (except in Chrono Trigger, the mother of all exceptions), there's very limited character interaction, and you are pretty much forced down a set path. That is why I tend to prefer WRPGs, since they're less linear, more interactive, and have tons more character customization.

This is why I like the PC. Yeah, the PS3 gets Dragon Age too, but knowing Bioware, the PC will most likely get the better version. ;)As for Alpha Protocol... I'm not sure. It will probably be equally good (or bad, since we have little information on it) over all platforms.

Yes really. If they bring more NEW stuff, they are more original. Alot of the games which have scored lower than Final Fantasy; Shadow Hearts, Suikoden, Wild Arms, Valkyrie Profile and others were using gameplay never seen before. It was original.Vandalvideo

Yes, facts. There weren't any games prior to these games that instituted the gameplay designs that they used. In contrast, FInal Fantasy kept using the same old thing from the previous games. These games brought more new things to the table.Vandalvideo

PC owns. Considering that it has the most exclusives (yes, it does. Consistently every year, AAA and AA) and has the best multiplats. I could go into many more reasons such as KB/Mouse, more players online on PC, $600-$750 for a PC that is 3x as powerful as any console, etc etc. But i don't need to. Frankly, the platform speaks for itself. PC has and always will own. :)

So why are more than half the games you own for the 360 on the PC first, mutliplat with PC, or the better version is on the PC?
