Imagine if you didn't own Vista or XP, you would not be able to play some of the best games on pc like Crysis, Gears of war, Bioshock, CoD4, Company of heroes, World in Conflict, sins of a solar empire, and the list goes on. Face it MS plays a huge role in PC gaming and they piratically own the platform.

Most type setting is done in Windows... so MS own the written word.
Most web sites are made in Windows... so MS own the internet
Most cars would be designed and concepted on windows based PCs... so MS owns the car industry
Chances are your mother was scanned using a windows PC while carrying you..... omg MS owns you also....
360 gets all PC exlusives day one (Alan Wake, Project Offset etc etc)
360 games get ported to PC years after (Fable, Jade Empire, Halo)
360 has must have games that PC will never see (Ninja Gaiden, Banjo, Tales, Cry On, Lost odyssey, Infinite Undisocvery, Too Human etc etc)
So, 360 makes the PC completly obsolete for me, it has nothing 360 does not get, gets a few 360 games later, if at all, and does not have exclusives i simply must have of its own
ete for me, it has nothing 360 does not get, gets a few 360 games later, if at all, and does not have exclusives i simply must have of its own
saolin323
so, in other words any game that gets ported from the PC to the 360 is "must have" for you, but any game that remains exclusive isn't. yeah, unbiased there.
You conveniently ignored the fact that the PC has "must haves" that the 360 will never see.360 gets all PC exlusives day one (Alan Wake, Project Offset etc etc)

Nothing the 360 doesn't get? You mean the 60 exclusives rated 8+ this gen?
title is bound to attract a lot of attention. well hear me out.
1. MS wants more games for the 360 that arent on PS3. Makes sense if you want to be competitive.
2. To do that, why not leech off of upcoming PC releases and strike deals to make ONLY a 360 port?
So basically the PC is helping the 360 to compete against the PS3.
Has anybody thought of it like this?
-GhostMLD-
I don't think you understand just how terribly expensive it is to develop on consoles. This is why the PC is the preferred platform for a ton of developers. There's no room for indy or smaller companies. The guys that made The Witcher and Stalker never would have had the money to work on the 360.
It's not exactly a conducive environment for porting. It is, however, not that big of a deal to port from the 360 to the PC.

How can a game be called exclusive if its released on more than one platform on the same day? We call those games multiplatform...
I may be wrong but I don't think Halo, Fable and Jade Empire are 360 games at all.
360 'must have' games only includes one game thats released and didn't it flop?
PC has more exclusives that are scored higher than any other system, your obviously not a gamer.
Also fable 2 looks awful...
What PC releases? The PC is lucky to get a decent game every year these days.
And Microsoft already gets exclusives by pushing for 360 & PC releases.....Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, and the list goes on. Remember, Windows is Microsofts first gaming platform.
Hulabaloza
Yeah, because PCs have the least AAAs so far this year :)
I hope your sarcasm filter works.

That's true, however Publishers don't like the whole piracy thing on the PC tho.

Nah, that's just an easy excuse for poor sales. PC Gaming does make up over 30% of total software sales afterall, and Steam is doing a brilliant job at sales.
Pc users don't care about ports from the 360 or any console.
Gears Of War didn't sell well.
Halo 2 didn't sell well.
Viva Pinata didn't sell well
and the list goes on.
Pc users don't need Games for windows

The 'my friends' line... its fab isn't it. Watch me just make stuff up.
My friend bought a PS3 that exploded taking down an entire apartment block.
My other friend got a 360 that constantly gives electrical shocks while playing and shreads all game disks placed in it.

I like to think of the PC and Xbox 360 alliance as being much like the Hitler-Mousolini alliance of WW2. Hitler allied himself with Mousolini and Mousolini tried to become more and more like Hitler Long story short, Mousilini ended up having a massive opposition in his own country and Hitler had to bring his armies down to bail him out which ended up spreading his forces too thin and delaying his invasion of Russia til the cold winter which lead to his downfall.
Anyway, you get my point, and if you don't, I hate you :)

This is what Stardock has to say on the subject:
http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/post.aspx?postid=303512
"Blaming piracy is easy. But it hides other underlying causes. When Sins popped up as the #1 best selling game at retail a couple weeks ago, a game that has no copy protect whatsoever, that should tell you that piracy is not the primary issue."

Wow! Thats amazing work, can you to and tell the publishers this? You know , those guys publishing more games on PC than any other platform. You know the ones, they make more AAA and AA titles for the PC than on any other platform.

Please explain to me how the message being portrayed in my signature is ignorant. Claiming someone is ignorant, without backing it up with anything substantial just makes you look like a fool. Anyone can make accusations, even babbling 3 year olds. Quite clearly you are missing the humor behind the signature, which only goes to show that you are taking this message board way too seriously, and personally.

You are losing all of your arguements, you have no concept of how PC gaming works. You dont seem to know what an open platform is and now you don't seem to know what a free market economy is.
