I have all systems and handhelds this gen and this is my opinion which factors in most importantly games, also hardware, online, etc. Although I play my 360 ten times as much as the others (mostly because of multiplats), PS3 exclusives are just way too good. Vita hardware is vastly superior to the 3DS when comparing the cost and despite having a limited game library compared to the 3DS, I have been playing the Vita more. In my opinion, the 3D feels mostly gimmicky unless it is used for games like Pushmo (awesome game btw).

SMG and SSBB were great on the Wii, but that was about it for me. I probably won't be buying another console from Nintendo and stick to handhelds.

My favorite PC game of the year isn't on the list. :(

Just a question: Why is Fatal Frame 2 on the Wii list but Okami HD isnt on the PS3 list?

I wouldn't include MS Flight in the list. Most true-blue flight simmers stayed away from it and stuck with FSX and others. I think that's why MS quit development on it. It was a bad idea to try wooing the casuals because they're not the type willing to spend hundreds and sometimes, thousands of dollars on one game.

I'm not doubting it at all (because i know in the past it's always comes out for the PC) but i was excited when he said it's coming out for the PC a year later and thought maybe Rockstar officially announced a PC version, hence why i was asking.

Remember how 2012 was supposed to be the year of the PS3? Remember how lemmings started claiming ownage after every PS3 exclusive started flopping, and they got a lucky break with Fable: The Journey? Let's see if it really turned out that way, shall we?

Well, Xbox 360 won the competition then, fair and square. Counting all exclusives that scored well, no holds barred. The Xbox 360 lands well ahead of the PS3.

Hey, at least the PS3 can come in third, right?

No, tough luck. The 3DS handily beats everything else, with twelve exclusives this year worth owning, and unlike the consoles, its list isn't padded with unheard of names, these are all big games, Paper Mario, New Super Mario Bros., Kid Icarus, Professor Layton, and Resident Evil. PS3 trailes behind that.

And the funniest thing is, there are still some major exclusive releases left on at least two of these platforms: the 3DS gets some major eShop releases fsuch as Aero Porter and Crashmo, while PC still has stuff like Planetside 2 left. These two systems will end up even more on top by the end of 2012 than they are right now!

Keep fighting for scrappy thirds. 2012 was the year of the PC, and of the Xbox 360 and 3DS.
