I'm primarly a 360 player but i'd have to be blind to not see that PC will come out on top in the game department

Agreed. Therefore, every console has a potentially horrible library because they have little to no exclusive RTSs in their libraries and even the most promising one is still curbstomped by the PC in that category.

It's funny how people put PC in the wars. PC has always existed and has always been a dominant platform (and almost everybody needs one) and provided you keep it up to date, it is never obsolete, just old.

The real wars are always the console and handheld wars.

still, as i've said previously, the real winners are the owners of a pc and a console. it's undeniable that no current platforms library contains an exempliary example of every available genre so for a true blissful blanket covering and enjoying every genre you need a pc and console

i have a 360 and a PC but what im trying to say is that there is very little that the 360 offers over the PC. im not saying its perfect but the PC kicks the hell out of everything else.

Crytek doesn't develope Far Cry 2. Ubisoft Montreal is developing it.

I don't disagree that PC has the edge over the consoles, but I enjoy playing on consoles more. Maybe one reason is that I work 8 hours a day using almost only PC, so on free time I don't want to get even near to PCs.

Disagree, what if i want to play sports/racing or platform games? If i only owned a pc I wouldnt be able to play GTA4, MGS4 and Halo 3. The 3 biggest game releases in the last year. Also, for less than a high end pc I could own all 3 consoles and have such a huge choice of games of varying genres. tifaz

As for PC losing it really can't happen. Pc is the machine that drives the game industry and hardware wear for pc's. To think that pc will die is very flawed. PC is powerful it has made rockstar ,blizzard,bio-ware,lucas arts, anet,ncsoft,starduck, epic games, vavle.

Well as far as racing goes PC exells in the simulation department (by a massive margin), and arcade racers - titles like TrackMania are brilliant (not to mention titles like Burnout are due)

Less mainsteam, but for every mainsteam you get some increadable niche titles.

the best games genre are found on pc, There is racing games on the pc need for speed grind. Those games are now better look than any console game. The only thing not really popular is fighting games on the pc. However there is always room for a smaller company to make those games. The companies that do go multi plat and make pc games first have better games like grind. Street fighter is coming to pc as well. Then there is the fact that there games you don't hear about because pc gaming is so big.blackdreamhunk

Sports games are popular, but apparently not the EA ones. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that EA's sports games on the PC are absolutely terrible. I'm pretty sure that soccer games are popular on the PC, and those manager games are popular, too. Racing games are still popular on the PC as well, but mainly the hardcore racing sims like Live for Speed, GTR, rFactor, etc.

i had forgotten about that,i know ALOT of football manager addicts (PC exclusive spots game, well kinda)

thus proving the PC is best at everything apart from Angst, MASSIVE SWRODS, bad stories and stoopid hair (JRPGs)

GTA4 is coming to the PC November 18th, so you're wrong there. There are quite a few racing games on the PC and dont go saying "well the mouse and keyboard...." because I have a controller hooked up too. Also, the last two Halos were on the PC and I'm betting that Halo 3 makes it to the PC . The only one left is MGS4 and if they really wanted to they could put it on the PC; In fact, I hope they do.

I don't think you can include games that have not come out yet. Specially games that have no release dates. I'll dust off my PC when Spore and a few of the other PC exclusives finally come out but I hardly see how the PC wins when it mostly gets it's games from 360 ports.Sins-of-Mosin

Far Cry 2 isn't made by Crytek and is multi-platform, so is TF2 and Portal.

You forgot to include all the good RTSs Sins, WiC, Company of Heros...

PC won this console gen because it has become far more accesible to people than before.

PC doesn't realy have gens. PC gens are more like new affordable GPU's like the 8800GT and a 4850 that would make a gen. OSs like XP-Vista would make different gens.

PC is a union of many parts that all have individual gens and since thats all complicated crap we just say PC has no gens and PC is just better in every wait.

thats just a stupid thing to say; ever plaed half life 2? well technically thats last gen but the pc tends to advace at a steady pace (ahdead or with consles) andconsoles tend to take leaps, don't try to spin it like the PC playes catch up.

well here's my list of why i prefer consoles. its not really that fanboyish, though.

1. my friends are all on xbl...sorry, but i prefer playing with friends, not strangers.

2. becoming much less of an issue, mainly due to PCs and console's increasing similarities, but plug and play ease of use is something that appeals to me. granted, PS3 is requiring installs now, but its still a bit easier to pull a game out of the shrink wrap, put it in the drive, and play on a console vs. PC.

3. aside from a limited few titles, most PC exclusives just don't interest me. that's not to say they're not excellent games, but just not my cup of tea.

4. often, the console games that interest me don't come to PC until months later. sure, people will argue that the PC version is superior, and it often is, but i just don't like waiting, and the differences between versions aren't enough to really motivate me to wait.

these are my main reasons. again, i'm not bashing PC, these are just the reasons that i happen to prefer consoles.
