That's why the PC slaughters the consoles in AAA/AA and AAAE/AAE every single year?PC games in general aren't as good as console games.

[QUOTE="ScrunchMuppet"]What is the difference between a PS3, an Xbox 360, a Wii and a PC? A couple of answers there - first off, the PS3 is the obvious winner. But secondly, the PS3, 360 and Wii are gaming consoles, whilst the PC is not. I'll repeat that - they are GAMING consoles. What's a PC? A personal computer? Where's the gaming?
Can a PC offer original, innovative platformers like Ratchett and Clank, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No.
Can a PC offer unparalled racing simulation with responsive controls, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No.
Can a PC offer engrossing, in depth RPGs with precise controls, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No.
Not a knock at the keyboard or the PC - it wrote me this message after all. But why don't the hermits just stick to writing emails and doing Excel spreadsheets, and leave the real gaming to the big boys, k?

Yes, yes, and yes. Very easily. The 360 gamepad can be linked to the PC for platformers, the PC has the best racing games, and the PC has the best RPGs.
Oh, and Ratchet and Clank isn't a platformer anymore.
God you're ignorant.
Mjarantilla, Scrunchpuppet is right, except on one account:The PC does not have the best racing games, but has quite a few decent racing titles. I do think that the PC is actually the home of all gaming (well that, Nintendo, and Atari) but Mjarantilla is talking s*** when he says that a PC cannot offer an "In depth RPG with precise controls, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme." If you werent such an ignorant **** then maybe you would know how long it took for consoles to perfect the art of RPG-making, then you would understand. I mean look at WoW, Dungeon Siege Saga, Icewind, Neverwinter Nights, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Everquest! All these games were perfected long before consoles actually discovered the formula, so Mjarantilla, you are officially Talking through your ass.

So you admit they keyboards are awful for gaming then?
I like to use these controllers:[QUOTE="death919"]That's why the PC slaughters the consoles in AAA/AA and AAAE/AAE every single year? Each individual console yes but not all consoles combined. And that is what I was comparing there, CONSOLE gaming to PC gaming.PC games in general aren't as good as console games.

And that is what I was comparing there, CONSOLE gaming to PC gaming. Current Scores are: Total AAA (# exclusive) * PC: 15 (8 ) * Xbox 360: 13 (4) * PS3: 8 (0) * Wii: 6 (4) Total AA (# exclusive) * PC: 76 (52) * Xbox 360: 60 (10) * PS3: 36 (4) * Wii: 18 (6) So, let's break that down: All three consoles TOGETHER have as many AAAEs as the PC. Exactly. 3 against 1 and the PC still ties. Hmmm. You can't get the amount of AAEs the PC has on consoles even if you bought all three...you'd still be 32 games short. And this is JUST since the release of the Xbox360. PC has a library going back over a decade.PC games in general aren't as good as console games.

there are so many things wrong with these statements, it boggles the mind.

Those are GameSpot scores, right?
Man... why even waste time with this troll? He's obviously joking.
If nothing else, the "People think of Big Rigs when they think of PC gaming" comment should have given it away. >_>
Also don't you realize all games are made on a computer, so before all designated controls are assigned for the controller they pre-designed to work on the PC to work out any bugs. Sorry but you lose. What is the difference between a PS3, an Xbox 360, a Wii and a PC? Can a PC offer original, innovative platformers like Ratchett and Clank, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No. (You forget there are PC controllers, and yes there have been many platformers on PC even before R&C were around)
Can a PC offer unparalled racing simulation with responsive controls, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No. (You can buy a steering wheel and gas pedal for the PC, just like you can get a guitar for GH on the PC)
Can a PC offer engrossing, in depth RPGs with precise controls, with its clunky keyboard as a control scheme? No. (I can't believe you actually even dared to bring this one up, RPG's are definitely more involved and mature on PC than on any console)

Im not too sure if i should laugh histerically at the OP or feel extremely sorry for him/her.
Without PC gaming there would be NO console gaming what-so-ever. A console is a computer for all intents and purposes, its almost all the same parts anyway.
On second thought, to answer my own question, i do feel bad for the OP for being so misinformed and making a public display of it in front of the rabid pack of animals that is system wars.

Sorry but you lose.FusibleGotta disagree on this one. Games are programmed on computers, but the execution is done using a devkit connected to a remote debugger session on the PC. You'd have access to a gamepad from the first build.
