People are insane these days. Selling a 360 for a ps3? WTF?

I think you need to double check your numbers. The 360 sold just as good ALL this year as it did last year. Possibly more so. The problem is that some people, such as yourself, look at the SHIPPED numbers and confuse that for actual sales.

Even if you say sold to ship. It only matters to MS what they ship out because that is where they get their money.

No you lost track of what we were talking about. We were talking about how key games make a system sell better. I comment on the fact that I don't think we are going to see increase in sales for the PS3 until more key games come out. Because people don't normally buy game systems before the game they want comes out. They buy it after they come out. There was no point were I said the 360 sold poorly this year. I was trying to use a compare the before Halo sales for the year to the after Halo sales this year. And how Halo and GOW made the system sell better.

Uh, why, ecause of two games, almost all of the Multiplats are superior on 360, so I have little doubt the 360 version of GTA4 will be better, so its not getting MGS, and gran toursimo, how does that make the Sony ps3's future brighter, because the 360 had the best holiday season for any console in history, and there's no way it can do it again next year

I'm somewhat suprised with all the 360 bashing here, either the Ps3 owners see that if the PS3 has a poor holiday season its pretty much finished, and are just jealous of all the fantastic games I get to play on my 360, while they are stuck playing inferior mutliplats on what's suposed to be the most powerful system.

oh and to those who say the 360 is maxed out performance wise, keep dreaming, I know after droping $400 to $600 on the flopstation, your hoping the PS3 can somehow surpass the 360 in some major way, and the fact is, it cannot, the systems are so evenly matched, that they are closer in term of capabilities than the original xbox and Ps2, so I see a bright future for the 360, and a slow death for the Ps3

As for the RROD, over half of the people here who complain about it are loser fanboys who have never owned one, I keep my 360 out in the open, and bought the fan stand from Pelican, it has been flawless for over a year, please drop the RROD, its just as much of a problem as PS2's disk read error, I went through three Ps2's

And lastly, there is little question, the 360 has by far and away the best library of games available, and when MGS finally gets released, that won't change, even if its AAA.

You should blame the TC for all the bashing. If people want to trade in their 360s for PS3s or Wiis, then they may without being labeled insane. To each his own.

I've noticed a lot posts with people claiming that they sold their 360 and bought a PS3 as well. His topic is legitimate. The only argument that I've liked by people that have claimed to have done this is that they don't like the stress they experience when worrying about the 3ROD that could occur. Other than that, I agree with TC and know that the 360 right now has a much better library of games.

Yeah I bought a PS3. My 360 although great as it was got the RROD. I'm a fan of games, not the consoles they're played on.

I don't mind if my 360 breaks down and I have to send it into MS for repairs for 2 weeks.

No big deal really, I don't see myself playing Halo 3, Mass Effect, Forza 2, Bioshock, PGR 4, Gears of War, Virtua Fighter 5 Online, The Orange Box, or any other great games like these on the PS3.

I guess I'm really missing out on Uncharted though, DAMN YOU 8.0, DAMN YOU!!!!

The 360s library is not all that great. Kameo, Perfect Dark, Blue Dragon, Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, Halo 3 are not great games that inspire me to want and get a 360... Gears yes. But I have it on PC. No one wants to play a library of old PC ports any more. PS3 has more interesting games and IPs already out or on the way. Does 360 even have anything remotely like Heavenly Sword? Eye of Judgement? Lair? Warhawk????? Those are all some pretty unique types of gameplay not to be found anywhere else.

Why would people BUY, let alone Keep a Console that constantly breaks down and suffers such a SERIOUS problem?

Look at Gran Turismo 5 and Uncharted! Both of those look better than any 360 game!

I have played Gears PC(higher res than 360), Lair, R&C:Tod, and Folklore ALL on the same 32" HD screen. I have also played many 360 games on an HD screen. And yes, Uncharted basically blows EVERYTHING else away. R&C at times blows away 90% of everything on 360 and Folklore graphically definitely blows away Blue Dragon from what I have played of both.

So you xbots playing 360 games on your 13" monitor, believe whatever you want about how PS3 games look in HD. Stay in denial. The proof is in the pudding and if PS3 gets many more games like Uncharted you'll see how quickly the 360 drops to 3rd place.

Yes, the PS3 has games. It's had them for awhile now. FolkLore, Ratchet & Clank, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Warhawk, Resistance, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Eye of Judgement, MotorStorm, and a ton of multiplats round out the system's library. Now, go ahead and say these games suck. No, that's alright, I'll wait here. Got that out of your system? Good.

And of course, there are other minor factors that would lean people towards the PS3. Such as reliability. No one likes their console breaking down on them. No one. If you do, you're lying. Warranty or not, this is inexcusable. People want stability, which unfortunately, the 360 lacks.

Online. PSN is free. XBL is not. I don't care about whatever features XBL boasts, online should be free. It is for every other system. The price isn't the issue, it's the principle.

Lastly, the multimedia features. I won't even waste your, or my own, time explaining this one. PS3 has this section hands-down.

So, is it crazy to sell your 360 for a PS3? No, not at all. The major deciding factor is of course, the games, but there are plenty of other reasons to go with the console. Of course, if you don't like the games, you shouldn't give it the time of day. That goes for every system.

i read your first paragraph and became physically ill. for 1) have you been reading these posts. all the games that people are saying that are coming out in 2008. and why would GTA4 be so hard to fit on the 360? because it doesnt have blue-ray. and dont say that its all cows bring up. i say its worth bring metioning. its another 1-up that the PS3 has on the 360.

I was going to get one at March but after having problems with my second 360 I am getting a console that can actually play games so I can't wait for Christmas.
