when i was 11 years old, me and my friends often skip school to go to a nearby computer shop (this is when i was still living in the Philippines), and that went by for about 4 years or so. it's always fun, because we shout or laugh whenever someone among us died from a headshot or so. it's my first multiplayer fps game. so much fun. besides, you can bind a certain function with a button. i can buy my primary, secondary, grenades, even kevlar with just one button. haha.

Lol, I stopped reading when he mentioned Call of Duty 4. Didn't see the Team Fortress 2 in there.

Last time I checked, pointing and shooting at something is pretty much the same in most games.
It's Counter-Strike, the gameplay is simple and amazing. Aku101
What's so amazing about it? looks like A Call of Duty game but boring:/

In most console FPS maybe. In counter-strike you must learn to shoot and to move.

I used to play CS a bit a while back.
And thats untrue for the most part.
I just played like i would any other MP FPS and did fine.
For real movement skill, a game like warsow is a better.

You also do that in Socom too
How can anyone hate Counter Strike? =XOICWUTUDIDTHAR
It's an easy and shallow multi player FPS with a crap community.
Also one must put into account that there are better mods like insurgency, and ZPS, oh and PVK2

The reason i dontlike C.S is because i lose Everytime

Not really. I'm not sure I need to elaborate on this as anyone who was has played shooters extensively could write an essay on how CS differs from Quake/UT/etc. The ingame mechanics as well as micro, macro, and team game are entirely different.

Isn't a Pug like a Puppy or something?

Doesn't differ that much actually.
Like so http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/ . Note keep in mind that counter for hl2 is wrong because my steam server brower shows different results.
A good portion of the games on there are older games. Quake 3 arena for christ sake is #8 thing came out like in 99.
You know what that means? Is current fps games are weak sauce serious weak sauce. You'd be surprised how many people are playing like counter-strike source with geforce gtx 285s and ati 4870s and stuff; they buy these video cards to play on the side games like crysis and stuff but the real gameplay is still these older games. Todays fps games are just major weak sauce.

Haha, not in online games. You need mIRC for them. It's basically a ton of people who sit in a chat relay system thing and you join the 5v5 scrim or whatever is being played whenever you want.^When bigger,Badder games like Killzone 2,COD,Halo,TF are int he market... why are ppl still go back to that hink of junk game,What Do you say? imo CS is boring an FPS game there is no missions and not much variety in MPking_A-HoleU call it a hunk of junk (i assume hink is a typo), i think thats pretty narrow minded. I mean, they game is like one of the longest running multiplayer games ever, and a lot more people have played it then cod4 or something. Sure u might not like it but it sure as hell cannot be called junk. Its a pioneer of Online FPS, refining it to almost perfection for like a decade before stuff like cod4 came out with acheivements and upgrades and whatever.

If you mean in the general sense that you are playing a game with guns and shooting stuff... sure. The difference is not only what you do, but how you do it. I can give you a big write up on CS game mechanics if you want.
