Wii U is still a relevant console?

People like Michael are signing it. That's why it has that many signatures. Can't be right. Pretty sure there aren't even 5,500 WiiU owners...
santoron
Hopefully Rockstar is smart enough to avoid doing this. I doubt anybody at all would buy this on the WiiU.
Wow. Almost six thousand people who would buy it. I'm sure that would justiify the cost and time to port it, and republish, and deal with nintendo's certifications.
When does the WiiU launch? I've never seen any ads for it ever, so I don't know very much about it. Ninty's advertising has been so poor, they really need to get on the ball in the Mushroom Kingdom. Oh, and GTA V won't appear on WiiU.getyeryayasoutFunny
Those guys should either get it for PS360 or wait for Watch Dogs instead. (or check out Lego Undercover)
There's next to zero chance for a Wii U version considering the low install base and slow sales.
:lol:Better check those signatures for validity. That is like ten times the install base.
Euaggelistes
Rockstar is smart for not announcing superior next gen versions yet. It would effect current gen sales making many people hold out and wait. They'll let the inferior current gen versions shatter sales records first. Then have the PS4/XBone/PC versions with extra content. Im not sure about a WiiU version though. WiiU sales have been a failure and they didn't even make GTAIV for Wii, which sold much better than the competition at the time. So dont hold your breath Sheep.
I'd rather not contribute to school shootings.
They already have lego Undercover, they should be happy.
Thing about this signature: Lots of signatures from people who wont buy the game but have a need to support the struggling wii u and want as many "hardcore" games as possible on it so others will buy it.
If the past is anything to go by, and it is, this wont sell on the wii u because it isn't Nintendo. The sales will be a lot smaller, even proportionally, than the PS3 and the Xbox. And when a smaller proportion of a very small pool of people are going to buy it, well, those 5,500 signatures may as well be halved.
So answer this. How many people who want the type of game GTA V is don't own a PS3 or xbox and would be willing to buy a wii u instead of one of those for more money and less games?
LOLOLOLOL! "almost" "5500" Oh man... them sheep are flocking to sign this petition  They have lego undercover or whatever its called..who needs gta :lol:campzor
Come on. That's an impressive figure. Only about 5500 have one! That's a 100% rate of attachment. Pity I can only see about 5% of those buying the game.
They will probably consider a Wii U version. But PC version? Nope.
Davekeeh
Other way around.
They wont consider a wii u version or it would have been released already. But a PC version will follow once the buzz has died down because they're counting on people buying it twice for modding purposes and also don't want it pirated too quickly before the initial rush.
Not in their interest to waste time porting it over to the wii u. In everyone's interest to port it over to PC.
If GTA 5 by some miracle came to the Wii U, I would be very interested in seeing everyone's reactions here about it. Especially if the game ended up looking and running better on the Wii U's hardware.

If my auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle.
Not going to happen. Like the wii before it the wii u will ultimately be limited to last gen technology and will end up making Nintendo fans hype the next console as "changing it all" before Nintendo repeat the process. Cheap company, cheap consoles.

Well GTA 5 is running on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii U is significantly stronger than both machines. Of course, simply "porting it" wouldn't be enough. Rockstar would have to clean the game up (a lot) which would take time and resources.
But I'm with you in saying that it's not going to happen. I don't see them investing in the Wii U without knowing for certain they'll get a substantial return out of it.

Significantly stronger. People were saying that the whole of the last gen, because logically, it must have been mustnt it? But the wii never showed one game better than the very best xbox games. It was on a par all along and if it wasn't, they had a funny way of showing it. The Wii U, well I'm well within my rights to assume the same until they prove otherwise. There hasn't been one single game shown which shows it is "significantly stronger".

I own all 3 consoles and I do have select games for each one just for the sake of comparing. There are games on the Wii U that do perform or look better than the PS3 and Xbox 360. Off the top of my head: Injustice, COD Black Ops 2, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Need For Speed: Most wanted and Batman: Arkham City are good examples. Of course, regarding Arkham City, there were early reviews citing frame rate problems. This was all BEFORE the day one update (which fixed this problem in both Arkham City and Nintendo Land).
PS: I spilled soda on my keyboard. So I'm blaming my bad spelling on that. :)

Technically, Wii and Wii U are "better" than last and current-gen consoles, but it takes a good amount of skill to get that "juice" out of them.
Wii mostly had the shovelware and low-production games so we didn't see anything terribly impressive. (altho the Galaxy games, Other M and Xenoblade looked rather nice)
It's why some GameCube games looked comparable, or even better, than the majority of Wii games.
However the difference is marginal, rather than big.
They clearly invested more into the controllers than the hardware.
Wii-U.
LMAO!

You can never know with Rockstar, though.
Imagine Wii U getting a port while PC getting ignored... :P

Your spelling seemed okay to me as do your posts, no worries.
Problem I'm having is, there are certain multiplats you are citing as looking better on wii u, but the absolute best graphics this gen don't feature in those games. So it's playing catch up still in a very real way. It's got a lot to prove let's put it that way, and that's to just establish itself as marginally better than current gen.

Indeed they did! And then they all but abandoned motion controls after the Wii U launched. Pretty ironic, eh?
The sad thing is that although there was a lot of shovelware on the Wii, there were a few games that made absolutely brilliant use of motion controls. Games like Redsteel 2, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Wii Sports Resort, The Conduit, The Conduit 2 and GoldenEye (with the Crossbow accessory) were all really solid examples. Especially Redsteel 2 and Resident Evil 4. Those two games I can't even imagine on a standard controller. That's how GOOD they were.

I'll accept that the differences (visually) don't exactly jump out at you. In fact, if you're not actively looking for them, you probably won't really notice. And if you do notice, you probably won't care. And I agree, even with the differences I DO see, the console still has a lot to prove.
One of the biggest reasons the console is struggling is because consumers deciding whether the system is a worthy upgrade or not.

Shame on me for forgetting Boom Blox! VERY good (but underrated) game!
Wii U has a tiny install base, and most Wii U owners are casuals, kids or families, its hardly a hardcore console.
Are 6k or even 15-25k potential buyers enough to justify the resources spent on making a Wii U port?
For the little profit it would make, they wont bother.
If you want GTA V, get a PS3 or a 360. They are very cheap now...
