Yeah because your average laptop or desktop sold at Best Buy is going to run these games.
A $600-800 desktop will easily run them. And its cheaper in the long run because you don't have to play for xbl and you can use a PC for anything. People acting like there is some massive price gap between PC and consoles are uninformed. Buy parts as they go on sale and build it yourself and its pretty damn cheap tbh.
doesnt a gtx 970 still cost ~350 ? how are you logically going to build a non shit pc for $600 bucks? Again what point is there to building a PC that cant play max settings? I understand if you have a build and you dont feel like upgrading so you play games at lower levels that makes sense, but to build a computer just to play lower settings? thats just stupid.
I got my 970 for $290 and there have been better deals since. If you buy every part without looking around for deals then it will be pricey. You won't be able to build one to run max settings for $600 but 800 is definitely possible. But for $600 you can definitely build one that performs better than X1.
And that's all great for you. But when it was in threads that I can get a stable gaming experience, will never have to use Google to find work arounds to make a game work and such in threads comparing bargain PC's and PS4 you weren't saying much. I can pull up and post them. But in this case, its better to buy the bargain gaming PC that couldn't even be called a "rig" in reality, because its Xbox huh?
Since the beginning of the gen PC gamers have been claiming you can build a PC for $600 that out performs the PS4. You were all crickets then.
Because PS4 is actually a good system. X1 is a homeless man's PC. It runs on Windows, will soon have no true exclusives left, gets the worst version of every multiplat, forces you to pay for XBL to get the full experience when M$ doesn't make PC users who use their OS or buy Windows games pay for it. It is becoming as worthless as a Vita.
