Platformer graphics king!! ( poll ) 56K

Uh.. no that's just a really bad pic of R&C. It looks godly in other pics, lol.

The thing with Ratchet is that it looks really good sometimes, but at other times it has really boring and bland looking environments. Still one of the best, but it does have its bad times. Nothing really lives up to the first level, so that hurts it a bit.

I think the TC should use this pic, I think it looks awesome even though Insomniac never really had much time to work on it. :)

Graphically overall - Ratchet

The biggest technical achievement is SMG. That game is damn beautiful and its on the Wii!

Technically, Banjo.

Artistically, Super Mario Galaxy.

Why is everything so freakishly normal mapped? Sometimes, high-res, but flat textures look much better than overused normal maps. Take that snow for instance, that just doesn't look like snow. Or those mountains. No thanks.

Why the heck u put SMG? Its on wii and we do not mention wii games when comparing graphics, i mean seriously ppl that voted for SMG....PS3/360 platformer graphics >>> SMG???GootHimp

Banjo > the rest.. the others are only corridor levels without that much going on.. banjo is a open ended game with a lot more going on.MojondeVACA

My vote goes to Banjo. That game looks very impressive. The others look good too, don't get me wrong, but Banjo amazes me everytime I see it.

R&C ingame is no where close to Pixar quaitly graphics. It does have a polished Pixar art style though so I can see why you get a bit confused, but honestly with ground texture's and grass alpha map's like these there is abosuletly no mistaking this for a pixar movie.

How can anyone seriously be so shocked? R&C looks amazing, I'd go so far to say it looks better then anything out on the 360.

i think banjo looks best but smg is still ana amazing looking game on wii or not and has a better art direction then eny of those games imo, also thats a bad pic.

I do have to say Ratchet looks a lot better. but this thread will soon end when LBP comes out.
