I do have to say Ratchet looks a lot better. but this thread will soon end when LBP comes out.
 A 2D platformer looking better than a 3D platformer? Which outdoes it in art style and technical graphics?

I think LBP looks better and has more behind it. LBP actually has impressive physics and textures with every object.
[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]I'm surprised R&C is winning, because Banjo clearly looks better. I thought System War's was full of 360 fans -- what happened? Chutebox
You really think Banjo looks better?
From the gameplay I've seen, yes. Than again, I'm just being honest here. :|
There's more detail in the environments and physics in Banjo. If every level looked like the first level or the snow/ice level in R&C, then my answer may have been different, but a lot of the levels look lackluster in detail.
Forgot an 's', I know. :P
Still a very good looking game, but not better than Banjo. R&C: ToD is old news.

I hope you're not implying that I'm not being honest.
Every level of R&C consisted of huge worlds (for the most part) with plenty of things going on all around you. And it ran at a silky smooth frame rate while looking awesome at the same time.
And I never doubted you had the game, so I don't know why you felt the need to post that.
[QUOTE="Asim90"][QUOTE="MojondeVACA"]Banjo > the rest.. the others are only corridor levels without that much going on.. banjo is a open ended game with a lot more going on.Chutebox
Most ridiculous comment in this thread, congratulations.
You're not surprised are you?

I disagree.
[QUOTE="CreepyBacon"]Banjo of course, the rest look average, especially R&C, really rubbish. o.0BubblehashThis is to be expected from a 360 fanboy. Yea you opinion holds a lot of ground. Your bash was weak and full of fail. You tried to hard at the end and that's what killed it. Stop trying to hard next time. You go from bashing, to desperation.
You posted 7 times in a row... And proceeded to flame everyone with a disagreement in opinion to your own, fanboy am confirmed?

I find it incredible how an ignorant person can come back and criticise two people and act as though they are right. The fact is you said those other games only have corridoor levels. SMG and R&C don't have corridor levels, Kameo probably doesn't either but I've never played it so I cant comment on it. Take a leaf from my book and dont comment on games you havent played as its pretty obvious you haven't played the two games I mentioned, it only makes you look foolish.

I don't understand how it looks better.
Ratchet looks just as good as Uncharted.
It looks like they use the same engine.

Banjo looks better.
You cheat, you use rare screens for banjo and then gamespot screens for R&C, everyone knows gamespot screens loo like crap. And R&C looks smooth, in most banjo shots you can see aliasing and some flat textures. You=Bias. If you had a pair of good working eyes you would see that R&C looks better.

Post above yours. Thanks!
Wow R&C has the better graphics and the voters have spoken. "By a long shot too" Banjo comes in at a good second place tho.
[QUOTE="darkspineslayer"]
still holds up today IMO, probably the pinical of 2-d grafics in a platformer.
SSCyborg
Rareware wins once again.
ah yes, how could i forget DKC3, yes rare wins again. increcingly worse charecter design throughout the seris aside.

The biggest difference between a game like Ratchet and Banjo is easy. It looks as though you can fly around and explore everything you see in Banjo from the videos I've seen. Alot of Ratchet is just beautiful backgrounds. You can see far in the distance but you can't go there. You are pretty restricted to where you can explore in Ratchet. One thing all the Playstation games have always done is great presentation. It's like Heavenly Sword and God of War. Gorgeous graphics but they are kind of on rails as far as gameplay. Shadow of the Colossus and Oblivion were the only consoles games in recent memory that you could explore just about anywhere.
