Platformer wars *mario vs ratchet*

Now that we've seen more info and footage...what are you're guys opinions?

IMO from what I've seen...Ratchet definitly has better graphics *duh*...but the level designs shown thus far looks un-inspired and mostly consisting of arenas for fire fights. Wheres the platforming Insomniac?

Mean while Mario can't compare to ratchet in terms of visuals *although it still looks great*....but the level design simply looks out there. There's definitely a bigger focus on platforming judging by the levels shown.

Agreed. It has been this way since Going Commando, but with each new game that comes out the series becomes more shootery and less platformy.

Galaxy. It's on a whole different level. R&C is more of the same with a fresh coat of NextGen paint as far as I can tell.Dreams-Visions

Two great games everyone wins.I'm a R&C guy, i gave yp on Mario games a long time ago.I still understand why people love them, Mario just not My thing anymore.

Id say Rachet, but its oh so very close.

Ratchet isn't really a straight-up platformer, nor has it ever been. There's a lot more combat and shooting going on, plus space-flight segments and other cool stuff.

But I really don't know what you're talking about when you say it has "arenas" for combat areas...

Super Mario Galaxy.Some of the platforming and ideas I've seen from that game are mind-blowing.

Mario out of those but you did forget Banjo...who is superior to bothHat_Damage

The first Banjo game was alright, but nowhere near as good as Mario. The second Banjo game wasn't good at all.

I had to vote Galaxy. The thought of the first new 3D Mario platformer in 5 years (no matter how Sunshine was) gets me excited. And people are calling it the true successor to Mario 64. Ratchet and Clank, I could be pretty excited for, but:

1) I don't own a PS3.

2) In my opinion, Galaxy seems a bit more promising, looking at videos and such.
