when you are releasing games regardless of them not selling, and ignoring the fact your company is in trouble then yes they are in a sad shape. you cant just act like nothings changed then announce your changing things and yet keep doing what you always did....pursue a course that gets you no profit.[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"][QUOTE="finalstar2007"]
Announcing and bringing mroe games mean their in sad shape.. got it!
finalstar2007
Yup sony games dont sell at all! and is why they keep making more and more games while Microsofts games sell so well they cant afford to make more games.. makes so much more sense thanks William! oh hey i guess uncharted series being over 10million, GoW3 over 5Mil, GT5 over 7Mil is all an illusion right? Got it! you are so smart btw!
anouncing and bringing games is one thing and the company troubles is another thing..note the TV division is what is causing their troubles not to mention the natrual issues in other countries and so on.. i as a gamer only care about the games.. and their coming.. dude just go sit and enjoy looking at numbers and wait for halo.
actually m$ stopped making games because they don't need to (they has money), sony desperatly throwing every idea at the wall and hoping something sticksSince when was making a game a certain genre copying? People are so ****ing stupid i swear.Keiji993Are you being serious? No one cares that they are making a fighting game, but using Playstation mascots as the fighters? Yeah that's been done before by another company. Not much thought has been put into this idea. How about an original idea?
Wow that's awesome. I totally forgot about that lol. Was that game even good?even though I think the idea of a sony All-Stars Battle Royale ranks up there with the Virtua Boy and the CD-I
there's one thing I'd like to point out... Nintendo wasn't the first to pull of a sucessfull crossover
Sega did it first :P

Sony : We do kiddy games and copy Nintendo devilsoultaker2Microsoft: we fvck our fanbase through the DVD slot.

yep
though it didn't have many franchises in it. If i'm not mistaken it was a cross over between Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers, with a character or two from Virtua Cop and the sonic series and a car from Daytona USA (yes, you played as a car in a fighter)

Still selling my PS3 for the Wii U I have no use for my PS3 anymore I hardly EVER play it. I bought it November 2011 Samus3DYou have this in common with alot of people.
Since when was making a game a certain genre copying? People are so ****ing stupid i swear.Keiji993Yeah this is pretty much my thoughts. Get used to it. Nintendo fans always do this crap and act like they own certain genres, regardless of how different a game plays to the Nintendo version. In this case it's exceptionally stupid, since I'm fairly certain Nintendo didn't invent the fighting genre, nor are they the only company allowed to make a fighting game with characters from multiple of their IPs. This isn't exclusive to this either. Pretty much every time a kart racer comes out it gets labelled a Mario Kart rip-off. It's annoying at first but after a while you come to expect it and get used to the idiocy.
With that said, I will wait to see what kind of gameplay comes from this. Do I like the idea of a fighting game with characters from PS franchises? If the actual gameplay is good enough, sure. But I'll just wait and see.

I totally agree, your statement is completely justified when it comes to Move for example, but for a game, I dun really think it's applicable, it's a game, the shooter genre started with one shooter then we have thousands now, are they copying the idea? yes, but they are different games.Sony copying as always....

Heres hoping it doesn't play like that crappy SSB series. lbjkurono23I think you should hope that it does even if you dislike the combat, otherwise Sony will have to copy from Digimon Rumble Arena and while it was ok, it wasn't as good as SSB's combat. Or worse, they'll have to think for themselves, and we know how that works out. :P

Sure it's applicable.
Look at how Sony's FPS franchises, and Uncharted series fail to outsell CoD and Gears?
Look at how Forza never sells more than Gran Turismo
Look at how GTA is still the highest selling sandbox game
And this goes for a ton of other games as well. WoW, Mario, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, etc
Developers came in and created something that spoke with the market, and it satisfied their craving.
Just look at the sales of any supposed "*Game* Killer". They always tend to flop really badly in sales because they're trying to reach a market that's already been reached.
[QUOTE="campzor"]yes they do... fun fact: i didnt know like a third of the brawl cast....mario-galaxysWhat characters from Brawl were you not familar with? oh now i do...but when i bought the game near launch i had no idea who: falco & wolf (though i suspected them to be from starfox..still didnt know who they were though) Ice climbers Ike Meta knight King dedede Lucas Marth Mr game & Watch Ness Pit R.O.B Roy Sheik (zeldas transformation)
[QUOTE="waltefmoney"]most likely be collaboration with other studios. Also its not like devs havnt made fantastic games on debut. If I was a debut dev this is the last kind of project I'd wanna work on.
campzor
Yeah, but
a clone of a successful franchise with characters other people made from popular IP's with rabid fan support just waiting for you to screw something up..
that's gotta be tough bruh.

Actually, Sega is not the first one either. If you're looking only at fighting games, the first game in that genre that was based on the idea of different characters from separate franchises crossing over was The King of Fighters 94.
The Roster was comprised of Characters from Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Psycho Solider, and Ikari Warriors.
So yeah, SNK did the crossover thing years before Sega and Nintendo.
[QUOTE="Heil68"]Instant day 1 buy. sts106mathahahaha Like you wouldn't buy a MS version of this. Do I detect jealousy?.
