They are supposed to go away. Although I believe games that don't have a "expiration" date maybe there is a loophole where you can "keep" them, but not be able to redownload them. I don't know if this has been proven or not.

I really don't see why this "ownership" thing is a concern. I mean you are paying $50 for an entire year worth of games. Just for this one month, It would cost at least $200+ just to buy all 12 of these (maybe even more $$$). I don't know about you, but I don't really care about "ownership" when such little expense is involved. If I play and get my fill out of them, then I"m good. Great deal.

And you get deep discounts on other games.

It's actually a major money-saver if you use it wisely, basically a cheap rental service.

On Topic: Already Played through and Platinumed InFamous 2, but definitely love those games and would play around in it a bit again.

This whole E3 has pissed me off.

Either Sony and Microsoft are holding games back for next generation console or they just have nothing at all.

I definitely know how that goes, haven't drank in a while either and had a couple Lion Stouts, a Kostrizer, and a glass of Jack Daniels Single Barrel last night.

Yeah, this year has been really disappointing, Ubisoft was good though.

Agreed. but in my case, living in Canada there are no rental services...all blockbusters shut down, theres nothing...I got PS+ just a couple days ago because I wanted Trine 2 and I figured I may as well pay an extra few dollars for 3 months of plus since it was available for plus members and see if any other decent games would get released during that time...so this worked out for me because I rented just cause 2 when it came out and liked it but never got around to getting it, played infamous 1 and it was decent, but not good enough to buy the second and really liked LBP1 but never got around to playing 2...so for 18 dollars getting to play those 4 games at the very least, pretty good deal IMO when I would have payed 15 just for Trine 2 alone.

PS Plus saves you money, if you bought all these games individually it would cost you a ton of money, they are "free" (really at no additional cost) for Plus subscribers.

You do keep some of the games, but not all. And they don't tell you what ones they are. I got some free games during the welcome back package with Plus and I was still able to play a couple of the games after my subscription ran out. But others no. They lock out the game if your sub runs out, so in a sense it's a rental service.

But you pay for XBL which is a rental service too, only they lock out your real life disc game instead. But I recommend Plus to anyone who likes to save money, it's not worth it if you don't download much, but for everyone else it's a must.

So... why dont you just wait till the game is cheap then buy it and not get PSN+ and save more money?

Your logic implies that the games that are free are full price in order to justify PSN+ and saving money when the games on offer are 2 years old and are in the bargain bin in every store and if you count second hand games are cheaper than a big mac.

Now you do the math, add all those games together and you would end up paying much more than $50 (the price of 1 year of Plus). It pays for it'self. How can anyone still complain about it is just silly, especially considering that this is just for THIS month, the rest of the year saves you even MORE money.

And that's not taking into account the other features you get with it like massive discounts up to 75%, free themes and avatars, could storage, automatic updates ect...you keep all the discounted games you bought if you cancel you subscription, you only lose your "free" games.

Anyone who can't see the value in Plus is in denile. Anyone that thinks XBL is a better value is in denile. There is no way around this, Plus is an amazing value. There is no need to try and justify it or anything like that, it justifies it'self. Unlike XBL.

This is awesome, especially after I bought the inFamous 2 "ultimate bundle" just an hour before the press conference thinking the $24 was a deal price and Sony were probably going to update the store during the conference and the sale would end there.:roll:

Anyway, I won't bother calling them up asking for a refund which they probably wont honor, if only because I got all the meaningless addons [100kb keys] and I will have full access even when my subscription ends, which I'll probably be renewing when it ends in october anyway.. It should be cool have both inFamous 1 and 2 on my PS3 at all times.

And on that subject, I thought I'd try clarifying the "when it ends" questions people have since I went thru it before with my initial 3month trial then purchase of a full year (which came with a +3 months bonus at the time so I got 15 months).

FREE Games - are only accessible while your subscription is active, maybe not redownloadable too but I never tried downloading when it ended. If you renew your subscription, you regain access to all these games, and can redownload them. I know this for certain cause I lost access to some PS1 games like Spyro and another PS3 game (tl:dr) and when I resubscribed I could play and download them again when I got a new PS3.

PAID Discounted Games - are yours forever. No further explanation needed.

FREE Themes/Avatars AND Add-on DLC - are also yours to keep forever.

Only the Free full games or PS1 games or Minis that end up on your Games list, that you can see right there on your XMB not in your game data folders etc, have the "limited" access and rental 'tags' attached to them.

crazy good deal for anyone that has not played them but the only one i care about but have yet to play is lbp2 and it is cheaper to just rent it from blockbuster as a part of my already paid for rental package.
