While i dont like these terms as much as the next person.

Hardcore, They by systems for the companies reputation, games, and fun, not buy it because its the "In thing" to do.

Maybe 5% of the people on here are actual "hardcore" gamers. The rest of us juts play casually.

Casual, as I don't blindly follow reviews, and just buy whatever interests me. May it have 4.5 on Gamespot or a 9.Vanadium2k8

Definetley Hard Core. Soccer Moms Who Play The Wii Annoy Me and High School Kids Who Are Like DUDE GO ON COD AFTA SKOOL 2DAY, NO IM PLAYIN MADDEN. I like both games but not the only games i play.rmerri52

I used to be a hardcore gamer, but I started practicing tuba a lot more my senior year of highschool and now that I'm majoring in it in college.

I have no time for games really.

I still get in a game of halo, or COD ever once in a while with a friend though.

Casual. I would call myself hardcore for the amount of time I spend gaming, but I want no part of the "I'm a real gamer and you're not contest", nor do I have the ultracompetitive "I must pwn the entire server every time I play" streak that seems to go hand-in-hand with hardcore gaming around here.lowe0

I'm boycotting this poll for the simple reason that if you've read any of Malstrom's articles, you'd know that these definitions are going to seriously changing soon, and the fact that I play every game I like, from Halo, Metroid, and Command & Conquer, to Peggle, Endless Ocean, and Bejeweled. Hardcore. Imo, what games you play has zero to do with being hardcore or casual. I honestly don't see a difference between someone who plays Cooking Mama for 10 hours a week and someone who play CoD for 10 hours a week, outside of one person preferring Cooking Sims over FPS and vice-versa. Both of them are actively addicted to games.
