You can't emulate it to add points to your gamer score, and there aren't any official plans for a PC version.

ok i can say that a console cant play WOW or the superior version of WiC or orange box and i believe that emulating will allow achievements

Being required and being standard are two entirely different concepts.

I can play games on the PC with steam or Xfire or others... But on the 360 XBL is the standard. Whenever I play with someone online I will always be able to find them on the 360, but thats not the case for PC online.

But since you wanna be a persistent fanboy, I guess i'll be serious this time around.

You really want to know what a console can do that a PC can't?

Play WiiFit. Now shut up, sit in a corner and go cry about a flaw that the PC has. You make humans look pathetic with fanboyish ways..

Xfire comes with almost all new games as a standard feature.

Xfire isn't the standard PC online application or whatever you call it, thats what I'm trying to say.

Ah but it is. It comes with all new games.

Doesn't come on the OS and doesn't intergrate aswell as your profile does on the 360 and PS3.

You could emulate if you had a $10,000 computer and you were a very very good programer, but you don't meet either requirement so you fail.

Emulation Software is always years behind the consoles. To answer every answer with "Emulator" is retarded.

There is no Xbox 360 or PS3 Emulator out and won't be for YEARS. So if your plan is to wait and play a 5 year old game on the PC with emulation then your a retard.

Being required and being standard are two entirely different concepts.

I can play games on the PC with steam or Xfire or others... But on the 360 XBL is the standard. Whenever I play with someone online I will always be able to find them on the 360, but thats not the case for PC online.

Standard is defined as the generally used service or most common service. Xfire comes with all new games and is the most widely used service. It is standard.

I got "an average or normal requirement, quality, quantity, level, grade, etc." for the definition of Standard from the dictionary. Xfire is not a requirement to play online games, as well I would say Steam is about as big as Xfire making it not the standard for online gaming on the PC.

Oh, I got it. Consoles can prevent your co-workers constant eye rolling that goes on behind your back as you describe, in detail, the new graphics card, sound thingie, or random sequence of numbers and letters that you use to show them just how smart you are. Consoles might also keep them from calling you a loser as you go into the sequence of events that led up to people you've never met posting what must obviously just be envious PC bashing because, "C'mon," you say to them on Monday,"I'm not a loser, right guys...Guys...Hey, where are you going?!?"

Current PS2 emulation is buggy, you can't even play half of the games, it's complicated, and pretty unstable, so if you want to wait for over 7 years to play Halo 3 at 15 fps and constantly crashing be my guest.

But whatever im done arguing this.

You can't play WiiFit, I win and you guys won't admit it.

the idea is that the pc gamer can go into the store, buy the balance board, emulate wiifit on the pc, a process which would involving adapting bluetooth in the balance board so that the computer would be able to use it. Same as the wiimote. So wii emulation would have to involve buying wii controllers

[QUOTE="AfterShafter"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="AfterShafter"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="AfterShafter"]Play games without installing them. (Well, PS3 brings an end to this, but all prior consoles).AfterShafter

Vista actually allows the streaming from discs.

Really? Crazy. I kept hearing it was terrible for gaming.

That work for all games, or just some?

As long as it has a single dvd.

Actually, here we go. Consoles can play multiple DVD games without installing. PCs can't. Can the jughead who started this thread do whatever he said he'd do and shut up now?

the thing is by the time 2 dvds are needed for pc's you will be able to stream of the 2 disks individually. pc discs actually take up less space

Really? So I can take a 2 DVD game right now and play it without installing on a DVD game?

i dont think there are games on 2 games to play it and what you forget is you can copy to your drive(takes like 2 mins) and stream without installing

Current PS2 emulation is buggy, you can't even play half of the games, it's complicated, and pretty unstable, so if you want to wait for over 7 years to play Halo 3 at 15 fps and constantly crashing be my guest.SuperVegeta518
Actualyl there is one out there that supports about 88 percent of PS2 games.

Who knows, there could be third party software out there that does that.

And there could be modded XBOX's that do everything that a PC does. Hell, there are, since they are basically PCs.. Do we know? Nope. So unless we can prove it, why speculate?

The absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence.

Oh, I get it. So the people demanding that we show something that PC's can't do are in no way obligated to prove that a PC can actually do something someone claims it can't.

So what's the point of this exercise again, since anything that someone comes up with will meet a response "well, there is PROBABLY some third party software out there that does this, even though I can't prove that there is"?

I'm done here. Everyone knows that PCs are more capable than consoles... Doesn't change the fact that there are swads of great games on consoles, much like the PC. If you enjoy good games and only PC game, you're missing out - much like if you enjoy good games and only console games, you're missing out.

Get red rings, or onion rings.
