Predict the score for Zelda: Skyward Sword

An honest review would never rule out ANY score and would remove preconceived notions like yours.

If that's the case, you're incorporating your own review scale rather than looking at GS's review scale. It's different at many places. For some a 10 means perfect, and if that's the case, your scale would certainly be the correct way. But for others a 10 is simply the highest recommendation that one can give, in which case, my scale is the one that makes sense.

There is no universal scale to grade games, you have to be aware of how each site/publications views scores and base it off of that. Nothing is truly perfect, but can you tell someone they're wrong for giving a game the highest recommendation they can? Absolutely not.

Consider GS scales used to mean perfect, (and implied all over it was) years ago and then covered it up. Giving a game a 10 is nonsense no matter how you put it. Your saying the game has no room for improvement and is the best it can be? 3.5 games do the same thing.Pegalamp

No it's not nonsense. 10/10 doesn't mean perfect. Remember gameplay evolves. AT THE TIME, which is a factor that all games are judged by, it was the best of the best and deserved the score.

After Twilight Princess my expectations are very low, and I'm the biggest Zelda fan ever. TP was just a huge disappointment. I predict an 8.0-8.5.

I'm gonna say 9.0. It won't score lower 'cause it's different than previous Zelda games, and it won't score higher 'cause... it's different than previous Zelda games. :D

More importantly, when is this game coming out?!? Hasn't it been completed already?

Well I really like Zelda games, so this will be part of my beloved collection. Reviewers tend to like them less than I do.
For example: I expect to enjoy it more than Skyrim, and I think reviewers (especially in USA as they seem to be very fond of open world) will rate Skyrim higher.

Between 8-9.

On Gamespot: 8.5-9.0, on most other websites: 9.0-9.5.

on Gamespot I'd say 9.0. Overall scores should be higher I'd imagine.

GS: 9.0 & Metacritic: 9.2

That metacritic score also makes it the lowest scoring console Zelda since Ocarina came out. Nothing bad really, but all Zelda games surprisingly stayed at 95 metacritic.:P (Then again, aside from Twilight Princess, those games barely have above 20 reviews, which makes their metacritic sorta moot imo:P)

Doesn't matter if it flops either. It'll be my personal GOTY from the way things are going.:) Infamous 2 flopped hard, but it's still my favorite game of the year thus far.:P

I honestly don't see GS giving out anything higher than 9.0, and Zelda will have to handstands on the WALLS to pull this off. My guess is 8.5.

At E3 Chris Watters said he loved the use of Motion Plus when he played it at E3.

If he reviews it it might get a 9.5 he is a fan of the series and seems to like all the new things Nintendo is putting in the game.
