Proof Gaming on Xbox = Lazy

This is just proof that gaming on an Xbox is pure laziness.

Xbox does everything it can to try to recreate a PC gaming experience. It fails horribly in the control, graphics, online, moddability, and everything else...departments.

The only argument Xbox users have had against PC gaming is that it costs so much to play games on a PC that it's not worth the superior performance/fun that a PC brings.

Well now it's official...a $500 gaming PC can run Crysis at nearly 40fps at High detail before overclocking.

So why are you still putting up with your crap box and why aren't you building a PC? Laziness...that's your only excuse. Either that or you're not a gamer.

No...you have to pay to play that one online with your friends. Plus there's no use of keyboard and mouse = terrible controls for any FPS. You're limited to 16 players. There's no custom maps or custom servers. Plus you have to have voice chat on if you want to communicate with anyone.

You don't seem to understand that when a game is developed for both Xbox and PC that the Xbox version is the "primary" version because more people will buy it (because of ease of use). When Xbox is the primary platform, the game is developed with gamepad controls. Gamepad controls = crappy controls = crappy game.

If Xbox weren't in existance, these games wouldn't have been ported to consoles (Xbox and PC have very similar coding/programming) because it wouldn't have been worth the money and they would have been developed properly.

But because people want a PC gaming experience (and who could blame them) and many don't have the patience/motivation to learn how to use one, they buy Xboxs and create an opportunity for devs to take the easy road.

I agree with this theory. Too bad the devs can't make games with a dumbed down version for the consoles and a more complex version for the PC... in the end the devs are the lazy ones that fail. They can keep making the dumbed down versions for all platforms so they can make the most money with the least effort. Then all the gamers that demand games with more depth and complexity will keep skipping them until they lose interest in gaming completely and then we all lose.

I can build a PC in an hour and have it running games in two. However, I need to build it only once. Contrary to your ****ing re****** belief, it doesn't require assembly and dissassembly with every use.

Play with whatever controller you want on a PC. Mouse, Xbox controller, PS2 controller, N64 controller....whatever floats your boat.

Welcome to the year 2008 where PCs now have the capability to do everything except suck your **** (but they're working on that). You may be completely in the dark about the many uses your PC has, but it can basically do anything you can imagine.

One of the great benefits of PC gaming is that you can adjust the graphics. If you find a dev for an Xbox game tuned the graphics to a point that causes you to reach 20 to 30 fps in a fire fight, then you're stuck with that framerate. Given your apathy towards graphics, you could tune the details down and hold steady at 60fps, making the game more enjoyable for you.

You've never played Crysis...that's why you don't think it's one of the best games ever made. Immersion is the best part of that game and you can't get that vicariously.
