Gametrailers has a video that compares Super Mario Galaxy with Mario Sunshine. Before you watch it, I want you to look at a few key areas.

1) Level Design (they are quite similar)
2) Control Scheme / Camera (they are quite similar)
3) Character Models (practically identical)
4) Art sty1e(indistinguishable)
5) Voice acting (LOLers!!)

So much for all of this supposed innovation. I wonder why Sunshine flopped hard, yet a derivative rehash several years later which looks nearly identical is some kind of genre defining blockbuster.

lol all I get are people saying bu bu teh reviews! Look at the video. Its even in high def so you can't blame the compression. The games are practically identical. Half the time you can't even tell them apart. Sheep are laughable. And I thought PS3 fanboys were blind.MrEpyx

Then play Super Mario Galaxy.

Sunshine looks and feels a lot less polished than SMG.

1) Level Design (they are quite similar) Can you go upside down in sunshine?

2) Control Scheme / Camera (they are quite similar) No water jet in Galaxy, No wiimote in sunshine. Camera in Galaxy is automatic most of the time, not in sunshine.
3) Character Models (practically identical) Yeah, Not much diference.

4) Art sty1e(indistinguishable) Sunshine has a cel-shaded look to it. Galaxy looks sharper, cuz of the textures.
5) Voice acting (LOLers!!) There's barely no voice action in Galaxy, if there's any.:| Beside the woohoo's of course lolMrEpyx

1) Perhaps you haven't played SMG, because it's level design is what makes it entirely different from SMS.
2) Control scheme is the same just like Halo 1 and 2 were the same. It's still a Mario game and still a platformer. And the camera is more accurate than in SMS, and easier to fix if you don't like the angle.
3) Same characters, except they look better.
4) Again, except much better.
5) It's Mario, heavy voice acting would ruin it.

I can pick out smiliarities between Doom and Halo and claim Halo is just a doom rehash. In fact yiou can do that with any shooter.

They missed out all the difefrences between them.

You are wrong about pretty much everything there.

Level designs are completely different, camera is usually out of your control in SMG, where in SMS you controled the camera. Art sty1e indistinguishable? I hope you know your wrong and your just trying to get attention.
