it's pretty ridiculous. the 360 comes with component cables, the elite even comes with a HDMI cable.shoeman12Do you find it ridiculous that not all 360's come with an HDMI port?
some people use component and some people use HDMI. adding both wires would be extremly expensiveRagashahs
The debate isn't about including both, it's about including any cable capable of transferring HD signal.
Currently, no PS3 is capable of HD graphics out of the box.
You can just grab a HDMI cable for $5. I cant remember what the website is called that i got mine from.
I couldnt figure out why sony didnt kick out a component cable when i got my PS3 either, I just figured they were trying to milk their customers.
Crucible, I lol'd at your sig so hard

Thanks for the sig kudos.
As to the Sony milkage, I can see that as a possibility. But the problem with that theory is that most don't go to Sony to get the needed cable. Most will just buy a HDMI cable from a website or retail store. So, where does Sony collect the milk there?
And if you agree with that not making sense then you have to wonder "why did Sony not do this"? Really, it's a tough question. Not so easily figured as some here would like people to believe. They have no advantage in people going out to buy the needed cables nor do they really benefit all that much from not providing them. Other than saving a few bucks. Or, keeping the price low. But I don't think the costs can be that high.
13,000,000 x (let's say) $4 a cable = $52,000,000. Hmm, not such a small bit of change.
or
13,000,000 x $.50 a cable (maybe more realistic) = $6,500,000. Well, still not a small chunk.
