Numerous sites - including one that revolves around graphical comparisons (Digital Foundry) - have stated that Crysis 2 is the best looking console game. A select few have stated that there are a couple of games that look better whilst other sites don't really draw any comparisons at all. You can spin it all you like cows but sooner or later ya'll are gonna have to accept defeat. :P

The lemmings somehow turned the graphics debate around having been getting pummeled since 2007. I reckon, given enough talent, money, resources and TIME, games looking as good as the Killzones and the Uncharteds can easily replicated on the 360. What's funny is that Killzone and Uncharted are exclusive games; as such they've received appropriate funding and support from Sony and focus primarily on PS3. Imagine if Microsoft were to show the same support for its first party developers - problem is though, looking back a few years, Microsoft have been gradually scaling down on its first party setup, shutting down studio after studio whilst Sony have done quite the opposite.

So, it doesn't come as much as a surprise to me that it took this long for a developer to exploit the 360 enough to produce a game that matches - or even surpasses - the best looking 360 games; what is surprising is that this came from a multiplatform developer, however talented Crytek may be.

There's little doubt that the Xbox 360 is the cleaner, crisper experience and for the most part it commands a small

First of, I'm not a filthy lemming, please don't place me in their catalogue.

Second, I never used anything as fact; what people perceive is "the best looking" is wholly subjective no matter the source. A such, a majority rule is often used - hence we often see polls here on SW, used to declare a "graphics king" if you will. This has been used to declare games, the likes of MGS4 to be "console graphics king" over the likes of Gears of War 2 - with a media consensus to go along with it. I'm seeing the same pattern here, Crysis 2 on 360 is winning polls as far as best looking console games goes and a media consensus has been established with numerous sources calling the game the best looking on consoles and only a select few claiming otherwise.

Hell, I remember the Gears of War 2 vs Uncharted 2 comparisons where UC2 was declared "winner" after numerous polls going about, along with a media consensus to back it up EVEN THOUGH there were a select few sites calling Gears of War 2 the best looking console game at that time. Lemmings went through it and accepted defeat and started hyping some new upcoming game as the next big graphical beast, let's see if cows can man up and do the same.

I'm amazed this thread is still going. Actually, this is SW, so, no, I'm actually not amazed at all. Crysis 2 I've heard looks tremendous (yet to play it). UC2 looks great, so does KZ2 and 3. So does Gears 2. So do a whole bunch of multiplats. What does it matter? Graphics are important, of course, but they are part of a sum of the greater experience. Sometimes I feel like a lot of SW posters care more about screenshots and pixels than how good the game actually is.
