PS3 Fanboys on Disc-Swapping

how did you prove blu-ray has failed? :lol:

all I see in the electronic stores is blu-ray players, the other format is non existent, what was it called? I don't remember the name holy **** lol.

but to get the full experience of Forza 3 you have to install the second disc.

I guess MS learned something from Sony and included install option with update.

btw, how's the Beta status for increasing the size of the 360 disc?

The only way disc swapping is accepted these days is if the point of swapping the discs is to have the information stored on the console so that no more disc swapping is necessary... Atleast Blu-Ray gave the industry something that pushed storage forward instead of using ancient technology... Even at the launch of consoles DVD was getting old and redundant, PCs have very good DD capability yet we are all still lumped with DVDs because they are slightly cheaper.

Its funny, the PS2 pushed DVD into our homes now it's the only thing MS want to use. I remember people complaining that DVD was expensive and pointless, now they are complaining that Blu-Ray is expensive and pointless.

For me it's like this. If I wanted to swap disk, I would buy a 360 or just stick to last gen. It amuses me when 360 owners excuse for PS3 owners of not wanting to swap disk because "PS3 owners are lazy". YES that is like soooooooo tatally the reason. :roll::roll:

What annoys me is switching back and forth.

You go to a certain town, you gotta switch the freaking disc.

Go back to the other town, switch back.

Multiplatform games should not have to be designed around the limitations of the Xbox 360's disc format. 3 DVDs isn't always enough, as evidenced by all the content that was removed from Final Fantasy XIII. That, and the lack of a standard hard drive is what cost the 360 a port of MGS4.Timstuff
