Also, GRAW is exclusive on 360 because it is a different game than other platforms. Stop complaining about that, it won't change.

And you know how that? Opinion? Maybe for some people the game feels completely different. Of course then you'll have to trust people like mitu instead on relying on actual things that make the decision objective like it should be. What, I played and own these games, how can you NOT trust me.:| I gave you a list, explaining every difference would require to me play that PC version game, ugh, and you don't believe me? Don't let the name fool you! Stop thinking about the name and think about the game. Even if I believe you why wouldn't I believe Derek240 who's telling me that MLB is completely different in both consoles and make it a very different game? What will make your opinion of the game more valid than his opinion of the other game and a decisive point to say the game is exclusive or not?[QUOTE="RedruM_I"][QUOTE="tagyhag"] Oh you're right, I forgot we were on IGN. It's probably because "a lack of new features and elements that weak play" is NOT the same as totally different gameplay altogether.mitu123
[QUOTE="Espada12"]So is also in Ratchet and Clank. Maybe all games are shooters :gasp: R+C is a shooter as well people are delusional to think other wise. It could be said the last one isn't and more platformer due to the clank areas but that's it.How the hell is uncharted not a shooter? The majority of the game is spent shooting things and people...

I hope cows realize that the moment GRAW becomes a multiplat then Littlebig planet will most likely follow

True. Although, you know what they'll scream. "But, but, but...it's different!!!"
I think most intelligent posters are questioning why other games aren't considered exclusive rather than trying to get GRAW to be multiplat.

And yet The Show 09 isn't even though IGN says "due to a lack of new features and elements that weak play, MLB 09 for the PS2 comes across as a shadow of previous years." I never will understand systemwars logic.
Derek240
How often do sports games have completely different gameplay? I wouldn't really comment on a genre you don't play. I play A LOT of basketball games and even subtle changes make a large difference (such as the difference between the NBA2k games on PS2 vs PS3). Obviously we aren't on IGN, but are you just going to ignore the comments about two different games that they actually played?
I think I rather go with what the System Wars community thinks about it, considering that you know, we're on this forum. ;)

That's the point I agree, either all are multiplats or all are exclusives. This random classification should stop.[QUOTE="Espada12"][QUOTE="Chutebox"]
Uncharted is not a shooter.
Chutebox
How is it not a shooter? Explain.. I'd like to hear this logic.
Because a lot of it is adventure/exploring. Just because there is shooting in a game doesn't mean it's a shooter.Exploring? There's hardly any exploring in that linear game and the majority of the time you are shooting stuff. I'm guessing Crysis is not a FPS because it has tons of exploring and adventure right?

Most of the time you are not shooting stuff, I don't know what game you played. The main portion of the game is climbing, exploring, and doing puzzles.Edit: When I say exploring I mean the puzzles, so I guess I was a bit redundant there.

The thing is, why would most critics rate The Show 09 significantly higher on the PS3 than the PS2? For that matter, why would gamespots OWN USERS rate it higher on the ps3 (8.9) than the ps2 version (8.4). Should these clearly significantly different game experiences be discounted?

TC....you actually named 7 noit 6 games :) + id also add Ace Combat 6, Call of Juarez, CoD2, Condemned, Far Cry isntincts predator, FEAR Files, L4D, Metro 2033, Prey, Raven Squad:OHD and some other shooters that are only for 360 and PC ;)Magik85
Ace Combat 6? It may be an exclusive, but it's a flight simulator

Still every time sony fanboys try to own 360 in shooter department, they include Uncharted and Uncharted2 on their lists...
They want to make it seem like they have more exclusive shooters. Kinda like what Lemmings do with 360/PC games.

What will make your opinion of the game more valid than his opinion of the other game and a decisive point to say the game is exclusive or not? I've been here for a long time, and at the time of the game was released, we had debated on when the game should be exclusive or not. Not enough people had contribute to tell the differences while many others say it wasn't, so it was a tie. Hey, I tried to get Dead Rising to be exclusive and that failed miserably, not enough people fought to keep it as a 360 exclusive since the Wii is different in gameplay and tech. What it comes down to is us debating and more people accquiring them, I know, it sounds odd. I was willing to believe that MLB 09 The Show to be a PS3 exclusive, but not enough people proved it. I can consider it an exclusive, but the majority of SW has to agree that it is a PS3 exclusive, and since half didn't, it was never acquired. These rules are confusing, I know. We need more gamers and cows to prove that the PS3 version is different, do what I do and list differences and they'll believe you, worked for GRAW.[QUOTE="RedruM_I"] And you know how that? Opinion? Well if we're using the logic of if you shoot at all in a game its a shooter, than 99% of games out there are shooters. SM is a shooter once you get the flower, LittleBigPlanet is a shooter, basically every game is a shooter.KukicAdo
Wow I dunno what to say for this, unlike uncharted those games have shooting mechanics making up an extremely small part of their gameplay and the game itself..... now saying uncharted isn't a shooter is like saying borderlands isn't a shooter because it has role playing elements and quests...

thats probably a good comparation. Personaly i have allways considered 360/PC games multiplats. Still a great adiction for 360´s lineup

I say you play/research both versions, make a thread, and list the differences like I did for GRAW, be like:PS3:
PS2:
And there you go.

The Game is classified as an Action/Adventure game, meaning it has elements of both action (shooting, fighting, etc.) and Adventure (puzzles, exploration, etc.), and not a straitforward Third Person Shooter like Gears 2 for example. That's the difference.Because the PS3 has only two of them as AAAE while the 360 basically only have shooters as AAAE and a couple of racing games.
And Ghost Recon is not exclusive.
RedruM_I
so that means you dont htink that LittleBigPlanet or MLB 09 the show are either?

this just made me :D Calling Ace Combat 6 a flightsim is just wow. If you want to know what a flightsim is play a real one on the pc and then maybe you will see AC6 is nothing more than a shooter with planes instead of a gun in your hands.[QUOTE="Derek240"]

We can still debate that, heck, in that thread I wanted it to be exclusive, but not enough people contribute to it.[QUOTE="Kennysolidsnake"] Exactly! I do believe they are different, but there needs to be more cows/gamers explaining the differences.Ah, they are indeed seperated by differences.
