Perhaps you need to look at the specs again. Bluray drive Cell Processor 512 MB of ram not 256 Free online gaming Wifi Bluetooth The move bundle comes with a game, move controller and a camera.

you dont add the gpu ram with the cpu they are separate

That might be all that he wants. I know for me if I we're to buy it I would not be hooking it up online so I would only need the 4 gigs for the saved games. No need for space for extra content downloaded from Xbox Live when I won't even be hooking up the 360 to that. Honestly though I am just waiting for the right price on the PS3 I have no interest in owning a 360 again. Was not impressed with the system

So why not include it in your OP? It's in the system when you buy it. Both rams are used by both the processor and the gpu when programmed correctly.

i love it when people bring this point about how they only need space for save data and yet they always talk about how xbox live is amazing but you cant do much to enjoy xbox live with 4gb of space lol

and how come nobody talks about the Nintendo wii being overpriced since launch day it may be cheaper than the other two systems but its about the same as the gamecube except you add cheap motion controls so i think they have the most overpriced tech

before you bash me i own a nintendo wii and the only game i like is mario galaxy have not got chance to play 2

no, Sony was taking a financial loss putting the Cell into the PS3, it wasn't cheap, researchers like in the military and whatnot also bought lots of PS3s for their Cell chips because it was cheaper than going after them by themselves, researchers used them for number crunching, anyhow it's $300 that's pretty decent, $100 more than a Wii and well worth it besides, some of us paid the $600 when it first came out, stop complaining about $300, if we didn't pay for it then the console would have failed and you'd have nothing to play

a: you are not forced to buy it with the move b: good for you, but the PS3 is much more than a blu ray player c: those 256mb ram (which is actually equal to like 2 gb standard ram on a pc...) and the dated GPU are able to run the best looking console game...obviously nomatch for PC but you say it as if PS3 has nintendo 64 graphics...

It's not over priced now. It was when it was $600 though. Sony' just lowered the price last year. They won't lower it again until probably next year. You might be able to get it for a bit cheaper on EBay, but $299 isn't bad for the PS3 right now. The only thing it's missing is B/C for the PS2 and an HDMI/Component cables in the box.

Even at launch it wasn't overpriced, as Blu-ray players of similar quality went for at least $400-$500 alone. It was just too expensive for it's main purpose, playing video games.

That's good for you but I'm betting most people who consider themselves gamers would need more than 4GBs.

My 60gb PS3 cost me 1000$ at launch (including 2 games and 2 controllers and provincial and federal taxes (7% and 7.5% at that time)). So no, I don't think 300$ is overpriced.

It packs more value than any other system, and the 360 with an HDD is the same price isn't it? You don't get half the functionality out of the 360, yet it costs the same.

Of course it would be nice if everything was less than 100 bucks, but expensive and overpriced aren't the same thing, and it's not realistic to expect the price to drop ever couple of months.

my point is: no way in hell you are gonna be able to run a game like UC2 with 256mb ram in a PC...consoles are optimized for gaming those 256mb in a console can not be considered the same as 256mb on a pc

last i checked, Move isn't a requirement. it's a peripheral. did we add in the cost of the Eyetoy to the PS2? the PS3 is far and away the best value of all the consoles since it comes with the Blu-ray player; you've got to be buying some used, beat-up ones to get them "cheap"

Are you serious? The PS3 is a great console and I'd buy it for $299 even if it didn't have Blu-ray. And no it's not expensive. It costs the same as the 120GB 360 which is less reliable. I think most people who are unbiased, would say that the PS3 is at a great price. You're basically saying the 360 is overpriced too.

Say it costs you 20 hours to earn the money to buy it. By the time you buy a ps4 your going to put over 1000 hours into it easy. What else can give you that kind of profit in entertainment? Consoles are worth every penny.

I think it's funny when ever someone mentions that PS3 only has 256mb of RAM. Just because it's weird that 360 exclusives are no match for PS3 exclusives in the graphic department. And yes Blu-ray players are much cheaper then they used to be, but DVD players are almost free now a days.
